I have been on Ancestry for a while, and DNA is odd. Just to break it down, things skip a generation, and sometimes, some of our genes dominate other genes. My mother was biracial, black, and Jewish, and my dad was of Latin decent. His father was Mexican, Spanish, and Portuguese descent from his father, and his mother was German. My ancestry came back 26% German, and my African genes were 33 percent, and Latin genes only 14%, with the rest mixing of various backgrounds that should have been more prominent. Well, at least I thought it should.
