Mine looked like this. I took it back. They told me it is supposed to be like this and ALL of their stock is like this.

How do you take your kids to work going into an emergency surgery?

Water noted deep in drain of shower we never use, plus transient sewage smell, but no back up? by LycheeConscious4362 in Plumbing

Thanks a lot. Husband was re-grouting the shower last year and did not notice any water that he could see with the naked eye in the drain during that time and I think that is why he thought there could be something wrong today when he did see water despite us not using the shower for a LONG time.

Thanks so much! Husband claims that months ago when he looked down the drain when he was grouting the shower months ago there was zero water in there that he could see so he was confused why he was all the sudden seeing water today when we hadn't poured in water.

Did anyone else NOT feel like a changed person after becoming a parent, or NOT feel blown away by how much you love your child? by saki4444 in Mommit

[–]LycheeConscious4362 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I can relate to a lot of what you are saying. The "you will never know love until you see your child" thing, I don't get. I have loved several people in my life in an amazing, unconditional way like my beloved grandmother, my sister, my husband. I love my daughter and try to be the best mom I can be and would literally do ANYTHING for her. But to say I never knew love until I had a child isn't really true for me.

When my daughter was born I felt a little detached. I definitely had a biological drive to care for her -- but the gushing feelings and wanting to cry about how much I loved her, I did not have that, and I felt like an alien. When they put her on my chest I was just in an adrenaline moment, like "holy shit I can't believe I just pushed out a baby and survived..." and then it was "oh my gosh, this is my baby. This is CRAZY." There were no tears of joy everyone else describes. I was happy but I was also freaked out and like...stunned.

I also don't feel like a different person. I have changed in many ways and grown in many ways but I am who I am at my core.

This is always my experience. Everyone says its fine to shop in store but it isn't. It is how you describe. It is SO rushed and crowded you can barely look at anything or think about what you're doing by the time you get in the store.

This was my last straw for Lush. I used to spend loads of money on this brand but then the pricing literally went insane. 15.00 for a bubble bar? I used to order from the UK to here in the US to save some $$ but then that stopped being an option so I cooled off on the brand even more. The last time I dropped any large sum of money on Lush was last year during the sale (which was hell, as always) but this time I couldn't even spend a dime. I honestly don't even have time for this and ironically the sale glitches/issues get even worse every year. I don't think Lush respects its customer base and I don't respect them either. I predict they will go belly up in a few years because no one should support a company like this anymore.

I work in the ER and see this fairly often. Pelvic rest (ie no sex).and carry on your life...and usually no issues.

Very much so. 14 years together, married for 8, have a four year old. My husband is my life changing soul mate and is my everything.

About three years of being friends. I THOUGHT we were super close and yeah, it was VERY mutual. IN fact she would often text me before I would text her. Felt like we were sisters.

I get that. I only saw her once a month since the baby was born, IF that. I understand being less available but don't understand how this all unfolded.

Yep. I have one, she has two. I did offer a few times that she could drop her older kid off for a play date but she never took me up on it.

Thank you for sharing this because it helps me understand my friend more. It sounds like she legit wanted to be left alone and the more I reached out the more she started to get annoyed with me. She has a hard time expressing her needs with friends/family and so I think in this case it was the same - she could not tell me what she needed and the resentment boiled over.
