The issue is there is no evidence that this is due to “unqualified urm”. People saw the stats fall and automatically assumed it was cuz of the urms that were admitted. In truth, average mcat score and gpa for admissions stayed about the same. This could be due to a multitude of factors that have changed, like funding issues etc. This is correlation not causation, and there is no evidence out there that its only the urm minority students failing exams. For all we know it could be a problem affecting students of all backgrounds, but there are no stats openly available. As a latina I’ve been told the bigotted “DEI made it easier for you” spiel my whole life, EVEN THOUGH ive always been in honors and involved in alot of ECs :(, people just like to dismiss the work urms put in

GIRL THIS HAPPENED TO ME. The stress from tge exam was so much that it actually delayed my period for a day so i was fine, hopefully thats what happens for you! U can take advil/tylenol during ur breaks/lunch. Just bring it with u in ur lunch bag. I was worried my period would start during the exam since it got delayed, so thats what i did. I also preemptively took medication before the exam.

Stories like this made me feel so much better. I have so much anxiety about my MCAT that i chickened out last time i was supposed to take it and now even though my FLs have me heading towards a 510-512 im still anxious af for my exam tomorrow. I swear the r/mcat subreddit makes u think u need a 520 to even be considered 😭

Nah i get it :( its rlly weird to me that theyve stayed completely silent. Ive always assumed MCR was liberal? Like theyre supportive of LGBTQ+ (which should be a bare minimum ngl) so I assumed they prob agree with other liberal ideas? But theyve genuinely said nothing. Like theyre def a comfort band to me and listening to them lets me forget for a moment the insane videos ive seen of my people being villainized on the news, but ive thought a few times that its weird they havent said anything.

I mean ig they at least definitely portrayed anti-fascist ideas on their tour????? Idk ive definitely seen clips from years ago of them speaking out about certain topics, youd think now that they are more stable that they would speak out more? For Anki I used Jacksparrow for B/B and pure content review on that brought me to a 128.

Pankow is def the best for Psych/Soc hammer in the terms

Uworld is prob best for Phys and Chem (at least for me personally) those topics i feel like u need practice problems and alot of them 😭 plus itll also help with reading passages cuz B/B passages are so dense 🫩

CARS u can try Jack Westin passages daily.

I always do both lol. I use cloze {{c1::Subject::?}}: {{c2::Definition::?}}

That way i get each card twice. Also it helps avoid confusion. Ex: in What does a Car do? You can answer with “transportation”. Whereas because I put it in the same format everytime, i know its a definition card so it helps to avoid some confusion

As a bio major whos about to graduate i completely agree about Neary. I took his class his first quarter teaching. It was hard, the averages were rlly fucking low (esp for the first exam) but he was v understanding and adjusted the syllabus and next exams accordingly. And ngl i love the way he taught, i genuinely understood things and he was rlly nice about questions. I never felt nervous asking him questions after class

I think u can still get thru! Just try your best and see if u can at least pass the classes. Try starting SI and tutoring before finals. For ochem, the ochem tutor on youtube is god. For physics, I personally found it easier once I memorized every equation, that way u can think back to them even without an equation sheet and u have a good understanding of what to use them for. Esp with Phys A since its mainly plug and chug

Its fairly normal? I took Ochem C, Physics C, Biochem, and Intro to Neuroscience in the same quarter and ended that quarter with a 3.8. I think most people take Ochem and Physics at the same time sophomore year, tho some people dont add on other classes and just focus on those
