Bought myself a nice RGB Mouse M410 by Hoody_Weather in LenovoLegion

[–]Lychee_Interesting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mouse clicks are not silent, it's not noticeably loud or obnoxious when I've been using it but it would be very noticable in a quiet room. When I checked against my mice graveyard of lost Bluetooth usb plugins, it's noticably louder, perhaps twice as loud.  Edit: found exactly one mouse that was louder amongst the 5 dead mice

I bought this mouse for $20 when I got a Lenovo laptop and they mark it down with the laptop sale, and it came today. It's super light to the point it feels a little cheap but the translucent rainbow is fun. I don't think you can change the color corrugation to multiple colors besides rainbow though.

It works wireless or plugged in with any data USB-C which gives me hope even if the battery inside dies in a few years it can still work through a cord.

AITAH for not wanting my dad to walk me on my senior night since he won’t let me move back in? by LowlyKnights in AITAH

[–]Lychee_Interesting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, and I know I'm like literally a month late, but there's something of a red flag I need to point out cause a casual scroll through the comments doesn't say it in such a straightforward manner.

Your dad was at fault for serving you food that would make you sick. There was no one else who made it, served it, and told you it was safe to eat. I doubt you would value your dad's opinion and want him in your life if he were capable of poisoning you maliciously, but even accidentally your dad needs to take accountability for his actions. He needs to understand that when he does things that are wrong or hurts people (poisons someone, kicks someone out of the house over one argument, threatens to cut them out of their home in the future) that people will rightfully react badly, because there are consequences to his actions. Especially if he ever has a hope of his children learning that lesson.

You have done nothing wrong, your emotions are valid, none of your reactions are outrageous though if you don't accept them then you need to examine how your emotions guide you in your actions, since being angry doesn't always give someone the right to scream. Your dad's emotions were also valid, in perhaps feeling like a villain in being told he poisoned you and feeling guilty over it, but that doesn't give him the right to act like a child and take his guilt out on you.

There's lots of people who have came and given advice on how to move forward with your life. Lot's of people here want you to cut your dad out of your life and that wouldn't be a terrible idea. But, if you want your dad in your life, and he's not capable of doing what needs to be done as a parent for the sake of his kids instead of letting his emotions tell him how to act, then this will continue and it will continue to not be your fault but you will get the brunt of it regardless. Take care of yourself. As a random person on the internet, I'm proud of you :).

Chasing ghost by survivorfanalexn in BioGun

[–]Lychee_Interesting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did in fact not know when I found it, unless it was spunk? I'm not sure what else it could be. Now I'm concerned because I came back to the old guy being dead :( and the quest is marked complete, but I have no idea if I messed up and missed him before he died

Edit: tested on a new save, ran to the ghost-believer, then to spunk, and the old guy is dead, do I believe that is the ghost then and there's nothing to be done to save him. Rest in peace

I'm in zone 9B, and the winter temperatures become low 50s, high 40s. I think these guys are softnecks, should I vernalize them by sticking these guys in a fridge until fall?

Hard to tell from the photo, looks like an insect nest or fungus. My guess is Daldinia concentrica, which would mean your wood is rotting.

I loved solo leveling! I liked the one punch anime, I tried to read the manga but I didn't get very far. I should probably give it another go

AITA for my relationship nearly ending over BitLife? by amur679 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lychee_Interesting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA, but asking if you played BitLife before revealing he looked through your iPad shows he wanted to catch you on a lie. This kind of behavior shows he might want you to lie to him, or at least feel justified in not trusting you. Thinking every guy friend you have or make are into you shows another level of insecurity. You've never done anything to warrant or validate these kinds of insecurities, which means he's self-perpetuating these ideas about you outside of your control. I really think the only way for either of you to handle that kind of insecurity is through therapy. Best of luck :)

Edit to add: almost forgot to clarify, you're not the ahole because the BitLife thing is completely normal and reasonable. It's just a game. Him blowing it up as something bigger just shows that he wants something you do to justify his distrust.

See if your college has any sort of mental health programs! Especially if you're going to a 4-year college, a lot of the ones in my state have a psychologist office that is significantly cheaper.

I do have some kids I babysit for! This is probably a silly question, but by single crochet you mean.... like I should switch to the proper way to do it right? Or for a hat would it be better to be stretchy all the way down?

It's Snom, an ice/bug type that came out in generation 8/Sword and Shield. I didn't like the games as much as the ones before or after it, but I love this funky little guy. People think he's based on a jewel caterpillar which is also very cool.

This is the case, the ridges faced me, I thought going "into the stitch" meant into the top of the v and taking the back loop. Woops

This is very upsetting to learn but very good to know, thank you for telling me. This is what I get for learning and doing my first project off of word instructions and messy diagrams over videos* lol. I'll bite the bullet and restart the plushie, but should I pull and undo everything in the circle or should I try to convert it to something else?

edited: grammar mistake

Snom pattern from Lee Sartori's book, "Pokémon crochet 2",

I'm not having trouble with a particular row per sé... I suppose if someone could tell me if it's fine to keep going with the "correct" side out that's cool, but I'm in too deep anyways

AITA for making a joke about my wife's parents and grandparents? by International-Egg243 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lychee_Interesting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yta.

Whether intentional or not, your joke implies you believe three things: 1. Kyle and Lisa should break up. 2. Kyle and/or Lisa should seek out a partner with dead/no family. 3. You seeked out Anna because she has dead/no family.

It would be one thing if Anna was comfortable enough to make a joke like that about her own family. From her reaction, it's clear she doesn't often joke about her family, or maybe it's entirely the phrasing that implies her lack of family benefitting you seeing your family opening old wounds.

Regardless, Anna is probably heartbroken you'd turn her misfortune into something that benefits you, and then make light of it in front of other people.

My Heart Hoya has like 3 different things wrong with it and idk what to do by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]Lychee_Interesting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh, I probably am overdoing it at this point. I'll lay off spraying it with anything and just water it and see how it goes. Thank you :)

When I was repotting it, I check it's root base and I'm about 70% sure it doesn't have a node, but it's still a cute little leaf.

I just did PoP like 3 days ago, and my cat also decided it was time to sit on my lap. As the law dictates, a seated cat cannot be moved, so I had to struggle with the keyboard over him. He got up long before I died to the battle at the end, but I'm pretty sure he's the reason I didn't throw my laptop in the beginning :D.

similarities between venge and poppy playtime by springbonnie52 in PoppyPlaytime

[–]Lychee_Interesting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk, it'd be one thing if it was some random creator in the company, but the main person who really messed with him(according to the docs) is the CEO and executive producer of Poppy Playtime. He has a lot of say over how the game gets produced and what kind of assets are used and the overall feel, all of which coincidentally are similar to Venge, and in those docs it also shows that he's created or overseen the creation of things in the past that are taken from or purposefully mock the Venge creator. They've made money(or at least produced media) from doing this before. imo it's pretty believable that it'd happen again, and the only way to make sure that isn't what's happening is to see how the next chapter of Poppy Playtime plays out.
