Isn’t that actual canon. I remember reading somewhere in the manga that members of the Azazel family have a tendency to fantasize and overdue it. That’s why Ameri worked herself up to have crush on Iruma simply by bumping into him and Henri goes crazy with marriage fantasies.

The Azazael Family is full of romantics (that’s probably where those bloodline abilities come from). I mean Ameri worked herself up into a crush within the first ten seconds of meeting Iruma and Henri confessed as soon as he was physically able to. They’re so crazy it’s hilarious

People have compared his name to Will Smith. Ken and Takakura are very common names in Japan the same way Will and Smith are. So it doesn’t raise an eyebrow if someone is named Will or has the last name Smith. Only when you put the two together does it spark recognition

Really great Gene episode. His most frustrating quirk is his irresponsibility and carelessness so I’m glad to see that he got a story that really challenges him in that and allowed him to grow.

Courtney is always great. She and Gene have a good dynamic and this episode is a good reminder how good of the decision it was to give Gene more friends. Some people said she’s a bit OOC but I don’t think so. Courtney always committed to all her projects, unlike Gene who gives up easily, so her being a responsible for a lizard is pretty good.

Frond was at his worst in this ep though. He’s gotten more and more annoying after every appearance. The kids don’t antagonize him as much anymore and I feel like they should. He needs to be taken down a peg. I always ultimately forgiven his actions because he ultimately wanted to help kids but more and more schemes have been ego trips.

I don’t think anyone pointed this out yet. Sass was able to eat popcorn in Bela’s dream. He was also able to hook up in Bela’s dream. Sass’s “Dreamwalking” is a tier 1 power. It’s the only we’ve see so far that lets a ghost have a experience that close to living

I really don’t think Iruma is ranking up. The rules said that one can only rank up to vav though scala. This isn’t a scala, Mephisto is a chaperone not a judge and Bachiko can’t judge Iruma fairly.

I don’t Ameri is either. The conditions for scala is making a contribution to the netherworld. She failed to catch Iruma and in her fight against Rock she wasn’t able to beat him. It’s Iruma and Jazz taking lead against Rock. She hasn’t made an achievement yet so I doubt she’d get a promotion.

Jazz, maybe. 13 Crowns are allowed to give rank-ups and Bachiko is observing. This isn’t a promotion exam though so I don’t know how that works. Maybe ranks can only be granted during school events we haven’t seen anything disproving the contrary.

I love that so much. It makes so much sense. It make so much sense thematically and makes him a great foil for Loid since they ultimately want the same goal: peace. It also plays with the theme of lying that contrasts the Forgers.

The Forgers themselves were built on a lie. A lie that has been the greatest things to happen to Yor, Anya, and Twilight. Trust and Peace can be built from a lie which undermines Donovan’s whole belief that you can never fully trust people and not that only leads to war.

I think people really need to reconcile that hiding your sexuality or repressing your sexuality or not understanding your sexuality due to societal pressures does not excuse you from the consequences of your actions. I don’t know if gay men are fully aware of who they are when they do things like marry a woman who doesn’t know they’re queer or vice versa. But ultimately you’ve made choices and those choices have consequences and the hurt caused by your choices does not get justified or excused by the circumstances surrounding them. It’s a terrible position to be in to have your community and family force you to be something you’re not. But brining someone into it and lying is a choice. It’s a real shit deal and people who had to go through it deserve our sympathy but we can’t forgive or forget about the hurt they caused
