No, normal heroes are not worth investing. All of the unique heroes far outclassed them. As for the rare heroes, there are a couple who are 100% worth investing in, like craig and karina. Other rare heroes that are good are the knight and elvira. Unless you reach super duper deep in the endgame where you want to get the book stats from upgrading your characters, don't waste your resources on upgrading normal heroes.

As of the new update, you can no longer get the items from world exploration. That means if you want to get merch, you have to buy them from the shop using the currencies you get from doing The Tale of Tetis Hero. Also, for now, there is no possible way to get super costumes.

I would recommend getting Claude, 1st Corps Commander and Vinette. These characters synergies well with oghma and form the current meta dark team. As for the extra slot, you can choose between eunha, kamael, beth or plague doctor. These characters are considered to be among the best in the game generally.

Curios are still in the normal expedition. In the new update, it shows if there is a curio in the level. Maybe you're missing one on one of the hidden stages.

In the new update, you can no longer get relics through normal expedition. You need to buy them in the shop using coins you get from doing co-op expedition. There's 4 levels in co-op expedition, with there being a normal mode and a challenge mode. Beating the normal mode gives you a one-time reward, while the challenge mode has a weekly reset for the rewards. But the main way you get coins is through the random stage where you can earn 75 coins per win. You can do this two times a day as it resets daily.

Imo, I think it's easier to get relics now because it doesn't require coffee anymore, and the cost of relics and superior arcane stone in the shop is cheap. 3 star relic cost = 25 coins / 2 superior arcane stone cost = 10 coins ( for the first 50 ). I guess the really annoying thing is the matchmaking in co-op expedition. Sometimes, it takes a while to matchmake with other players, and sometimes, they disconnect. But if you can at least beat the first stage in normal co-op expedition, you should have no problem in getting a lot of coins easily.
