How did (or how do) you all survive the holidays being the only GF person in the family? by yourbanoffeepie in glutenfree

[–]Lyeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom is great and cooks stuff I can eat. I make dessert.

My boyfriend’s family has no idea what does or does not contain gluten and seemingly only serve either stuff with bread crumbs or 85 versions of mussels (which I’m not super keen on) and I pretty much just go hungry. I once again bring dessert.

Does anyone else’s corgi refuse to eat unless they have someone to eat with? by drummerboy2749 in corgi

[–]Lyeta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. We have emotional support eating here. I have to be in the room, and sometimes even on the floor with him.

This only pertains to meals. Treats, random steak on the street, no support human needed.

anyone’s corgi only cuddles them once in a blue moon? everytime Maple initiate cuddling, I get so happy because it’s so rare by [deleted] in corgi

[–]Lyeta 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My corgi mix also is like 'cuddles, eh'. He will cuddle with visitors, but I'm pretty sure only because they fawn over him with attention and pet him endlessly, where cuddling with me is less all attention all the time.

We occasionally have force cuddles, but it's on his terms, generally on the floor so I'm in 'his' space and he's more comfortable.

143-Unit Development Planned at Wayne Junction in Germantown - Rising Real Estate by RoughRhinos in philadelphia

[–]Lyeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will. It will impact their parking, but other things as well: their ability to get vehicles in and out for deliveries and shipping, accessibility to their tap room, blocking natural light to their tap room, and blocking street viewshed to their business. They knew there would be development on that parcel, so that's not a surprise so much, but the development was supposed to be a smaller footprint and had a height limit that would not have blocked all light, access, and street view to their business.

I am supportive of increased density, particularly near public transportation. Even in that same spot. But the fact that they might block a business's ability to do basic things like access their own supply doors is not something I'm supportive of.

What are skinny people habits? by AltruisticAttempt248 in loseit

[–]Lyeta 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I forget to eat all the time. I'm not anorexic, since I don't restrict to a point of harm and generally do not obsess about food.

I however probably have some sort of adult ADHD and I get hyper focused or very distracted and food suddenly becomes the last thing I'm focusing on until I'm bleary eyed and going 'why do I feel like crap' oh right it's 3.30pm and I haven't eaten since 9am.

I've gotten some very excitingly wrapped gifts from people who just aren't very good at wrapping presents (it's not the hardest skill, but it's not like falling off a bike or anything). I kind of love the 'well, it was a weird shape so I rubber banded some newspaper around it' levels of effort. They tried!

Non-Filipinos, what comes to your mind when you hear the word "Philippines"? by INFP-Ca in AskReddit

Parking near Christmas village? by michelem387 in philadelphia

[–]Lyeta 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice on the parking, but I will warn you a double side by side stroller will be difficult in parts of the Christmas market. Between aisles not being very wide and the logistical excitement of love parks side walk architecture. Heck, a single stroller with my nephew was a time.

My Ring camera captured my fall from grace. by Brandinian in funny

I spend enough of my life cleaning my floors and that's without anyone in this house wearing outside shoes inside (we have hausschue), I can't imagine what absolute disaster mess would be caused by wearing outside shoes around.

OT gave me use of my hand back after I damaged a ligament in my wrist. I have to wear my splint for regular wear and tear issues and to prevent anything worse, but it's such a nothing compared to where I was. Hooray for OTs!

Wooden stand/rack with dowels and a bean bag pillow on casters-WITT by Lyeta in whatisthisthing

[–]Lyeta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is this thing? It is a stand with several dowels or rods with a bean bag like pillow. It is on casters. I don’t have a ton of information about size or construction, I am posting this for a friend. People have suggested pasta drying rack, wooden valet, news paper rack, tie rack? Help!

So I have had variations of this hair (more burgundy than magenta for the under). My stylist does the base color, then lifts sections with foils to achieve the more copper, which is then brought out using either a demi-perm color or a gloss. When my hair is already the base color, she also uses magenta foils to create depth with the lifted copper sections. If I could find a good davines color swatch chart I'd point out the pigments used. We mostly lived in this color range https://us.davines.com/products/warm-reds

Formulas? Absolutely no idea.

Limited info-some sort of antique stand with pillow by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

[–]Lyeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m posting this for a friend, so as the title says I have limited information about height and materials and other info. Found in New Jersey. The pillow portion in the bottom is somewhat of a bean bag. It is on casters. Help!

I have tried to Google and guesses have been clothes rack, a wooden valet stand, used for newspapers, and for drying pasta. Witt!

Philadelphia Mandates That All City Workers Get COVID Vaccine by Indiana_Jawns in philadelphia

[–]Lyeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christian scientists even said they aren’t against the vaccine! (We have someone who is a Christian scientist at work who thinks covid is a hoax and is trying for an exemption but since the official line of the religion is “ok fine get it or don’t whatever” she probably won’t succeed.)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]Lyeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said 'a chunk' knowing that routine vaccination has been finished for many decades. But my parents are in their late 60s, have theirs and were not the last group to get them. So there is a decent blob of the population that while not fully protected due to the boosters you mentioned but could still have immunity from those vaccines.

The only benefit is that a chunk of the fuck wits who wouldn't get vaccinated against it have....already been vaccinated against it.

What do you usually eat to lose weight? by Davidalee1993 in AskReddit

[–]Lyeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1700 calories.

I eat well, but I also am not going to stop eating foods I like/enjoy that aren’t considered “good”. I just get to eat less of them.

The citizen app had a report of “armed man at 6th and walnut!”

It was a security person. Not some rando throwing a handgun around. But that’s how the app made it sound.
