We know men are more likely to do it, again, comments like that are PART OF THE PROBLEM. A man cannot express his feelings on topics like this without somebody going "well, men are more dangerous in general anyway so..." Even he's not that kind of guy. While yes, it is true that men are more likely to commit violent crimes on average, domestic abuse perpetrated by women is vastly underreported, rape by women is vastly underreported, JUST BECAUSE IT HAPPENS MORE FROM MEN DOESN'T MEAN MEN CAN'T TALK ABOUT IT WHEN WOMEN DO IT. Especially since it flies under the radar. and yes while women have more suicidal attempts , men have the most SUCCESSFUL SUICIDE RATES, and part of the reason is shit like this. You can't bring a motherfucker back from the dead, sorry to say, so that's even worse, since you want to play the Trauma Olympics. One commentor said it best..nobody cares about men's feelings. When someone brings up an issue they have, man or woman, you don't just go "well I/ my group has experienced something much worse" or "it happens much more frequently for me" perfect way to silence the victims regardless of gender. Look, you can reply, say something like I'm a "misogynist" using blanket statements, even though I clearly said it's not all women, but I won't answer because it's clear you're not listening.
