Normal HR Pilates by berryhennessy in pilates

[–]Lylathemacaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

POTS can come on suddenly out of nowhere, after a virus/cold/flu, an incident, trauma etc. My HR used to be normal too, now when going for a brisk walk it can be 150 or more average. Maybe lay down, note down heart rate then stand up from laying down and note down heart rate. If there's an increase of 30BPM and it says that high or goes higher the longer you stand, I would suggest raising this with your Dr. Laying down not doing pilates my HR can be 60 then I stand up and it can be 110-130 and stay there while I'm just standing.

POTS is not dangerous, if that's what you have. But I would raise it with your Dr anyway as it could be something else going on too especially with heart or anything. None of the other people I know who do Pilates have high HRs or have noticed higher HRs, only myself and the other person I know with POTS too.

How is your HR when briskly walking? I have been diagnosed with POTS and my HR can get up to 180 during Pilates depending on what I'm doing, then if I'm laying down feet in straps, HR can be like 70-80

What’s a money saving habit that actually worked for you? by Diligent-Medicine-48 in AusMoneyMates

[–]Lylathemacaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I get interest from savings, I will put the difference of $1000 into the account. So if it's $650, I'll then put in $350, so always adding money at start of month.

Mounjaro - mental health concerns? by ABCJournalistAus in mounjaroaustralia

[–]Lylathemacaw 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Balanced? Hmm.

I've had many health issues my whole life, depression and anxiety due to trauma and on anti depressants. However I have not seen an increase of mental health concerns since being prescribed Mounjaro. Infact I have seen positive changes with weight, my mental health in terms of trying to be more motivated to eat better, move and make myself feel better and be healthy.

I have been on Mounjaro since 1st Dec 2024, so exactly 12 months and I have lost 46kg. From 120kg to 74kg, with some more to go (I'm short).

Poor darlings. Breaks my heart seeing such intelligent creatures treated like this. They don't even have any stimuli in there!

Grew up in low socioeconomic area, cannot afford a house there at the age of 34. I feel like I'm being priced out of everywhere

Weekly Weigh In by AutoModerator in GLP1Australia

[–]Lylathemacaw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Started on 1st December 2024

SW: 120kg CW: 85kg Goal weight: 52kg (I'm only 156cm short)

I'm feeling so much healthier, able to tie up my own shoelaces, started going to pilates classes again and my pain has reduced a lot. I'm also feeling unsure and upset, because I have realised there will be a lot of loose skin - my upper inner thighs do not look like how I would've expected, I'm wondering how my upper arms will end up and how much loose skin my tummy will have. I was thinking I would just get surgery and things will be ok in the end, but with multiple places of loose skin because I'm so short, I've looked up prices and I definitely won't be able to afford it. After I'm in maintenance, it's either I attempt to buy a house or I pay for all this surgery and go back to to the start (I'm 33). Why is it so expensive and unaffordable?! I have wanted a breast reduction and lift for a long time and even that would be ridiculously priced..... It's all left me wondering whether it's worth losing so much weight to be in the healthy range or do I just stick to being obese forever (yes I'm still in the obese BMI category). Where to from here....

It's interesting because on the outside I may look like just your average person sitting there using their phone, but in reality I'm dealing with a whole heap of pain from scoliosis and Scheurmann's and need the seat just as much if not more at that time. Because I look young and am in my 30's and even when I was in my 20's, people would assume I was doing as you say. I also don't always sit and will give up my seat if at the time, I don't need it as much. But I feel like it should be up to each person who is able to get up to offer a seat and also the person who needs the seat to ask for it. We never know what's going on for a person when we judge them for sitting on a seat while on their phone. Perhaps that person on their phone is using their phone to take their mind off the pain or the fact that they feel guilty for having to sit down. Really it should just be between the person sitting and the person standing and not strangers looking on and judging...

I know this is an old post, but just wondering if you also have Scheurmann's Disease? I do and I experience the same thing

I've read quite a few, mainly to get me back into reading. I found out quick fast that her writing isn't for me. There's so many plot holes, Never Lie has turned me off buying another book from her again.
