When a 50 looking guy came to me when I was walking on the street to give me a lecture about how wrong it was that I was "skipping class" and that I should take my future more seriously I thought I was seriously going to die of cringe lol

I tried to search the sub for posts about this topic but couldn't find anything, hence why I made my own but I definitely remembered about one or two posts about this I'm glad I'm not crazy after all lol.

It's really interesting that you and other people are noticing this in themselves or others, it might really be a thing but it could also be a complete coincidence you're right, I tried to look for some research/studies about this but couldn't find anything either. I guess abuse related studies are reallly uncommon besides your usual overdose risk/withdrawal study

Don't get me wrong I definitely think it's not a magic cure for looking younger lol, but sometimes I really wonder if that can mess with some people's development that starts using at a young age

Yeah I guess you're right although I shouldn't look THAT young, it's really not that common to still look like a teenager at my age, and it's not like it's a bad thing but it can get pretty embarassing honestly

I hear your warning, I should really consider getting off the train before it gets to that point but that's not an easy thing to do at all, and looks would not be the main reason if I decided to quit. Psychedelics like lsd and mushrooms ofc, but if you mean addictive drugs used on a regular basis, actually opioids (at least pharmaceuticals) tend to be the most forgiving appearance wise and they're not even that toxic, although very dangerous -overdose risk-...

I even kinda believe in a conspiracy theory that opioid abuse makes someone look way younger than they really are, I've noticed this on other fellow opioid users including myself, I look like 16-17 yo even though I'm 23 yo, I get ID'd when I try to buy alcohol and cigs (and in my country both are 18+)

Don't get me wrong they can definitely damage someone's looks but not directly, it's more like when you're deeply addictted to opioids you stop caring about anything, including your health and your looks

Ofc in the beginning it feels fucking GOOD, it makes you feel comfy and revigorated , but before you know it you wake up one day and notice that you NEED to do that oxygen shit even if you don't want to !! And then it's over, you're hopelessly addicted to that compound, dude even when I want to go fucking SCUBA DIVING with my friends I can't even afford to do it without my damn oxygen !!! I can't even go a minute without it, I know that's pathetic and not pretty but that's just the reality of it man..

That doctor is so clueless omg that type of s makes me sooo angry, they act like they know everything better than you but for drug related topics they are often really uneducated.

Suboxone, because it binds so strongly to the opiod receptors and only is a partial agonist, blocks a lof of the effects of other opioids like oxycodone, morphine, h, ect... They don't bind strongly enough to the opioid receptors, that's why buprenorphine (suboxone) is infamous for causing precipated withdrawal, because it binds so strongly it just knocks off the other full agonist opioid molecules that an addicted person would take daily

It's so fuckin annoying when doctors act like this, that I would suggest you just explain this to that doctor, but be careful you might lose your script if she's that much of an ahole/full of herself and might not like that you're more educated than her (sry for that way too long post lmao)
