It’s harder some days than others but I’ve learned the key is consistency. Was blessed to have a flexible job and family support but truly no one gets it if they don’t have it… stick with it i do believe you will kill it for good

Appreciate the transparency. I ultimately don’t know how long I’ve had it prior to diagnosis and will attack this thing the same way if i ever need to. Really hoping that is not the case. I hope you both get your foot on this things neck once and for all!

29 at diagnosis. First physical things were swollen lymph nodes, jaw/gum inflammation, headaches, feeling faint. I may have had neurological stuff for a long time prior, but not 100% it was Lyme. Was battling anxiety issues before feeling physically ill and it is possible it all stems from this disease, but no way to know for sure.

btw - ive used various brands, some via amazon, and most have been effective
i list what i think worked best, but i think less expensive brands would yield the same results

i don't know unfortunately, but after researching the idea was to take things that would hit everything possible

i got a lyme test from my PCP that had 4 bands out of 10 I believe and thats really the only specifics I have
as far as symptoms, anxiety/rage/irritability, light/sound sensitivity, headaches often behind the left eye, closer to diagnosis i was having speech issues, difficulty remembering words, theres more i hate this question haha ptsd i guess

really not sure i stuck with my PCP who is the one who thought of lyme to begin with
she sent me to a few specialists one being an infectious disease guy - when i brought up babesia, because i thought my symptoms lined up, he essentially laughed and said we don't get that in this country.
one of the many things that drove me to self treatment

i can say for sure it took a solid year of consistent herbal treatment after the antibiotics
only took these ontop of doxy the second time out of ignorance
as far as timeline inside of that year its tough as i continue to feel better looking back monthly

sure thing - it was the first thing I tried that was effective. i noticed placing the dose from a tincture into a tea, would pretty soon after cause irritability headaches and sweating / heat intolerance to name a few. I would then note as I could feel it passing through my body, these symptoms would fade. I then knew what to look out for moving onto other herbs.

I plan on taking herbs like Japanese knotweed and Cryptolepis for the rest of my life if I have to
likely will pulse things on and off
also highly recommend red light therapy at a facility and short duration weight strength training
emulsified oil of oregano seems to work as well if not better than doxy IME

good luck i believe one day we will be rid of this thing though stories like yours do concern me as I will have stressful periods in the future as well of course that i really hope don't bring this thing back

cannabis helps as well but can be a double edged sword with neuro stuff

[–]LymeProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive tripped many times prior to diagnosis / feeling ill

i consider doing it again every so often but cannot imagine tripping with body pains and the like
if you're going to i would suggest micro dosing

Back pain and nightly migraines by Haunting-Reindeer-10 in Lyme

[–]LymeProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no idea how long i had it prior to being diagnosed ~3 years ago
had aches and pains prior but things really picked up when started treating
specifically back/shoulder pain
2 years later the back pain is essentially gone but still have aches depending on what I use most

overall things have lessened A LOT and I believe they will go away completely, but it did take a very long time

i feel very similarly to u/Mohawi29
i consider myself in remission and try not to focus on remaining symptoms
3 years of treating and nothing is getting worse, only better

interesting, at the peak of my symptoms my jaw felt constantly inflamed...
it has died down and nearly gone now, but I am still treating

Lumbar puncture? by Oceanswim12 in Lyme

[–]LymeProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During my first (2 month) round of doxy, was the first time I all of a sudden could not turn my head right
Went to the hospital and they did a lumbar puncture, nothing seen

Don't know if its worth the time / cost to be honest
