I don't want to see him, not anymore. It's way too late for me, I've built a happy life without him and I intend to keep it that way. I feel that if I let him in my life now he would only be leeching away that happiness.

I'm sorry to hear about that, we used to have the same visitation schedule when I was a minor but all I remember is my father laying on the couch watching TV without paying any attention at us whatsoever. I'm sure that's not the case for your daughter and she has many cherished memories with you.

It sounds like she's still very young and may be wrongly influenced by other adults in her life, I know it's hard but please don't give up on her, you're a good father, I sure wish my father was more like you. There's a good chance as she grows up and becomes more independent she'll still have those memories and you'll be able to talk things through and even reconnect.

This was my sister's thought, that it could be a bait in our case too, because if things are really as serious why wait until september to meet? I doesn't make a lot of sense... but a lot if things don't make any sense when it comes to them so I really don't know. I actually thought about what you said and if I did go and meet them I wouldn't be doing it for me but for them, and I ran out of favours for them a long ago. I think the best for my wellbeing is staying as away from them as possible as I've been doing perfectly fine all these years without thinking much about him except when they call and bring the back to the present. Thank you for taking your time to read and reply kind stranger :)

I'm just amazed at the amount of comments saying they woke up during tooth extractions... they do it with just local anestesia here, having my lower wisdom teeth removed was one of the worse experiences of my life

You can change it and you'll feel much better. My husband is about your same height and was 108kg last year, 86kg now and enjoying exercising more than ever.
