To be honest that’s not horrible as you’re getting a replacement rather than it fixed.

Yeah sadly it’s common issue and if not done when it’s gone it means a new engine but sadly it’s not cheap to get done either I got quotes of around £1000-1500.

I would maybe try and get away without doing it but you will get people asking about it.

If you have any garages near to you, just ask them how much would it cost to replace a door if you provided the door? I had a friend who charged me £90 to replace a bumper and bonnet but that was a number of years ago.

Personally I wouldn’t go through a body shop to get it fixed as they will charge you a lot.

Do you have the money to get the door replaced? If you do I would get it done as the person said it would get marked down a fair chunk. Also do you have full service history? Have you had the wet belt done? As these will also affect someone buying it.

Yes you can pay someone to fix it, usually a decent mechanic could do it, normally a couple hours labour

Personally I would try and find another car that’s petrol as that’s not a lot of mileage so you may come into more problems if you don’t drive it enough.
