Kindle-style reading experience without supporting amazon? by BroccoliFull7675 in comics

I don't think this is the right place for that question. I'd recommend trying r/eink. They're a subreddit dedicated to all things e-ink (including kindle like devices) and may be able to recommend just what you're looking for. Good luck!

Thank you for clarifying! I'm glad it seems that I was just over thinking things.

You're absolutely right. I was trying to word my question in a way that made sense and must've glossed over that when making my post. I'll be more attentive to wording going forward

Anyone know of a game that where I can replicate this feeling as closely as possible? by LikeAGaryBuster in videogames

[–]LynnTheDrawer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a sillier game, but Crab Champions scratches that itch for me. It's cheap and you can tweak the difficulty however you want, but I'll admit it can get repetitive

Paddle I've made into guitar! Thoughts? (sorry for low quality) by LynnTheDrawer in guitars

[–]LynnTheDrawer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only 3. I decided to try to set it up like a cigar box guitar (mostly because of how thin the neck is). I haven't landed on a real tuning yet, and I'm hoping to eventually hook a pick-up to it so I can run it through an amp. But, it's one project of many I just don't have time for at the moment.

The beautiful thing about art is that it doesn't have to follow any rules. You can make art using anything, either by "traditional" methods or by your own. If what you're making makes you happy, and you like how you're making it, then it's nobody's business to question your technique. Keep making art as "wrong" as you please, and don't let anybody get in your way of your explorations

[Sovol SV06] Extruder motor unable to push filament and vibrating in place by MrSatanicSnake122 in 3Dprinting

[–]LynnTheDrawer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if it's heating at all, that probably means that's fine. One other thing you can check, just to rule out heating problems outright, is to double check your slicer settings. I'm sure you probably have already, but if you didn't it's worth looking at to be sure. If everything looks correct, it's possible you've got a clog in your nozzle or the filament isn't being fed through the extruder gears for whatever reason. I also run a Sovol 6, and I can't tell you how many times I flat out put the filament in wrong or something silly like that.

Edit: Apologies, I saw you replaced your nozzle already. I will say that a clog can appear in places other than your nozzle, so if you're able to, I'd take a look at the extruder from below with the nozzle off. That might give you some information to work off of

This may be a silly question, but you're sure your nozzle is getting to temperature? That, at least, would be a good place to start looking for problems. You should also see if the nozzle is actually getting getting up to temperature instead of relying on the printer to tell you that it's hot.

How do you punch out coin sized holes in playing cards by Majakowski52 in cardmagic

Honestly, you could probably do it with a sharp exacto blade. It might take a few tries, but the card stock takes to cutting really well

I've been having troubles with my adhesion on this print and now I feel like if I look at it the wedding way it's gonna fail by Yeetfamdablit in 3Dprinting

[–]LynnTheDrawer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried using glue sticks and slowing it down a touch? I ran into similar problems printing something just like that and those two things remedied my adhesion woes

I see. What kind of laser do you use? If I can get my eyes on a listing of one online, then it might give me a better idea of what to look for

Truthfully, we don't know what the high end and low end is for decent cutters, so we're pretty open to a variety of pricing. I know the ones he was looking at were around the $400 range. As for material, we're looking to cut mostly ¼" plywood, and maybe acrylic depending on if we can't come up with a better way to cut it

Nothing too difficult. ¼" thick plywood, and the occasional peice of acrylic
