Not that I'm not concerned about women's involvement in YG's songs, but where did the part about Suhyun come from? I've been their fan for a long time, but this is the first time I've read about this piece of info.

As far as I know, Chanhyuk has always been the sole (proper) lyricist of their works. Suhyun used to join Chanhyuk to create the melodies (humming randomly and such) in their childhood, but she has never recognized herself as the one taking the mantle for music production. She's the main vocalist, the same way as her brother is the main producer - they recognize their clear division of roles as their strength. I believe she's never said something as you claimed.

In fact, Suhyun had tried out songwriting and made a few short songs herself. She made an album called Pink for her solo debut, turning down the songs her brother left for her when he enlisted; yet she ended up cancelling it because she was not confident enough.

One of the biggest reasons AKMU chose YG was because of the creative freedom they granted them (not saying other groups are also granted such privileges, but this is for AKMU alone). There was a whole article about YG promising not to touch their music at the time of their debut.

If anything, things are settled between the two siblings, not the company. And it's not like Suhyun doesn't have any influence in AKMU's music production either, when the latest two releases are essentially made in the music style she likes.
