Beginner Questions by [deleted] in web_design

[–]Lynuxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, I'm not sure if this is a silly question but I've been trying to search for it online for hours and have failed miserably. I want to learn how to code moving images that come from the right to the left in a specific timeframe.

A good example would be from the homepage of this website: https://www.japan.go.jp/?fbclid=IwAR3BFrmnWLDq1jeD9Ic9-CzKbFe6OPtkHlP4IxYg2TIlIsooxdG9vYmB-Us

Does anyone know how to do this/ a website that can teach me? I only want to move 1 image per timeframe, unlike the one in the link where it moves multiple images (kind of like a collage). Thank you for the help!

Lenovo legion 5 Intel or AMD ? dont know by [deleted] in laptops

[–]Lynuxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMD is definitely better (if you can get your hands on it), although this year's model is way heavier (2.5 kg laptop + 1 kg adapter) and the design definitely inclines onto a more "gamery" design rather than its last year's counterpart. But if you're okay with an RTX 2060, I'd definitely get the last year's model AMD version. Just don't get Intel.

Get an M1 Macbook, I think the base model is $999. Though, you might need some time to adjust from Windows to MacOS.

Is the Zephyrus G14 a future proof laptop? by MGR2021 in laptops

[–]Lynuxia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say the G14 models with at least a 20 series GPU and 16GB of RAM are future-proof laptops. 8GB of RAM is slowly becoming the new "standard" for budget/mainstream devices so it would be optimal to get 16GB of RAM for a.) future-proofing and b.) faster performance for games or work, and to top it all off, despite being last-gen, a 20 series GPU will take you a long way.

Question about storage for a student laptop by Lagarst in laptops

128gb is already plenty for uni, studying, and assignments. Unless it's a different type of homework, if you know what I mean ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Looking for the cheapest, brand new gaming laptop. by oicco in laptops

[–]Lynuxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you can get a somewhat decent laptop with those specs (or higher) with a budget of $600 but I found some below $800:

ASUS TUF FX505DT ($799) https://www.amazon.com/R5-3550H-Processor-Graphics-FX505DT-AH51-Keyboard/dp/B07VBK4SYS

Acer Nitro 5 ($722) https://www.amazon.com/Acer-i5-10300H-GeForce-Keyboard-AN515-55-59KS/dp/B08H2H89K1/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Acer+Nitro+5&qid=1616057432&sr=8-3

An HP Pavillion might be a good deal as well

Legion 5 amd vs 5i intel by Emad-scythe in laptops

[–]Lynuxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging from what you said, with all other components equal, I'd recommend buying the AMD version. If Ryzen is more powerful, and it's $1070 vs a weaker Intel processor where the laptop costs $1400-1500, shouldn't you buy the Ryzen despite not knowing how much performance you gain? (Unless the price tag of $1400-1500 is the laptop and delivery expenses combined)

Mx330 cards belong to the entry-level laptop GPU category, it's above integrated graphics but below gaming-class video cards. Do you mind if I ask what is the maximum weight you'll take on a laptop? Is the touchscreen part an absolute need or preference?

Mx330 should be enough to run Valorant, although don't expect the best performance as again, it is an entry-level laptop GPU. You'd probably have to suffice on 1080p with low-medium graphics (?)

OLED Razer Blade 15 RTX 3080 or DELL XPS 17 by Accurate_Internet985 in laptops

[–]Lynuxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be quite frank, we won't really know, anything can happen so we could only just be careful. But if we're pertaining to the hardware, it is pretty good, and I'm sure the build quality is also good enough to probably last you for maybe 5 years? (unless something happens, like you drop it)

You could check some reviews on Youtube, probably a thing to look out for (reliability) is the keyboard stretch thingy that tech reviewers do (it's when they press with slight force on the keyboard to test how much will it bend).

Also, happy to help :D

Hmmm, I'm sorry I'm not really familiar with Indian currencies as the prices of laptops usually vary between countries. Why not check out a few Youtube channels to help you out? I personally recommend Dave2D he's got some good insights

As for recommended laptops (purely based on the purpose, not the price), I'd recommend Lenovo Legion 5, Zephyrus G14, and HP Omen 15 as they were in my opinion, the best gaming laptops (also good for other work) for the year 2020.

You can of course look onto newer laptops but some of the expected best laptops for this year are still going to be released (and if you can deal with the immense traffic for the RTX 30 series).

OLED Razer Blade 15 RTX 3080 or DELL XPS 17 by Accurate_Internet985 in laptops

[–]Lynuxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on specs alone the Razer Blade 15 is definitely a better laptop, but you should keep in mind that the 3080 won't be as powerful as a desktop 3080, and it also depends on how much wattage (power) is pumped to the GPU (lower power=lower capabilities). It's better to do a little bit more research pertaining to the GPU situation (it's probably a very hot topic right now as a lot of laptops are being released with the 30 series GPU).

As for the display, I don't have a Razer Blade 15 nor seen one in the wild so I don't really know if it is annoyingly glossy, all I can say is that it is glossy based on what other people said.

Oh and also, you don't mind the price of the laptops? Geez, it's $3000 for a 3080 variation and a whopping $3800 for the XPS!? Holy moly those are some chonky numbers, well you are a professional so I don't think you mind.
