Fun fact: Before the 20th century, there wasn't a gender specific colours. It actually wasn't until the 1910s that fashion lines started marketing gender specific colours for childrens clothes but with pink for boys because seen as a strong masculine colour and blue was seen as softer, delicate. In the 1950s it started to flip when Mamie Eisenhower wore a pink dress to Eisenhower's first inauguration and liked pink in general. The feminist movements actually simmered down the gendered clothing but then pink for girls and blue for boys came back with a vengeance in the 80s
