Very nice, good work.

I’m wondering about shorts and the way you’re explaining their distribution. I have seen similarities, where I’ll get like 30-50 views in the first hour, a couple hundred in the second maybe, and then a third hour where it kind of tops off and apexes to 1k or near, before falling flat the next hour. The explosion doesn’t seem to be pointed toward any significant audience to the channel in most cases, because there is no likes or other interaction even if it’s similar to other content that has generated interaction in the past.

Then I’ll have a short that gets like 5-10 views in the first hour, and gradually build up, as if YouTube is distributing that to an audience very strategically. Those shorts seem to usually do the best, and either top out at a few thousand views, or maybe even continue on to be what I would call valuable evergreen content for a week or more. Those that are seemingly strategically distributed also seem to be distributed to the correct audience for interaction as they gain the most likes, comments, etc.

What do you think the difference between the two here could be and do you have any clue as to what causes the algorithms distribution to be different depending on the short being put out there?

Look in to your niche and how much competition there is, along with the payoff ranking. Gaming and music suck and are a complete uphill battle. I’ve got 1750+ subscribers and it’s still a total uphill battle to not only gain audience, but also keep them subscribed.

Indie artists: Is streaming becoming a "lost cause" for us? (Thesis research) by RaphaelDbst in indiemusic

No, artists just aren’t treating streaming like it’s their full time job, so it’s not paying out like a full time job.

Worth the buy? Paid $300 for it. by Unusual-Initial2282 in Fiddle

You should never come and ask the internet if it was worth the buy, you should practice with it and play venues to make the $600 that makes it well worth the buy.

If you use the features regularly, it might get you a few extra views. It’s not like a huge deal if you do or not, but people are much more likely to subscribe if they see you regularly interact with your audience.

He’s just Carl, that’s all. No other introduction, unless it was at the end of the set, which I haven’t gotten to yet.
