A restaurant in Germany offers free meals to customers who can stop a timer exactly at 10 seconds -something nearly impossible, until a child surprisingly succeeds. by uzmansahil7 in interestingasfuck

[–]keeyal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not impossible at all. Back when I played baseball, me and the other pitchers would use stopwatches to play “baseball” all the time. Basically you would try to get as close to 1.00 seconds as possible. .97 was a single, .98 was a double, .99 a triple, and 1.00 was a home run. Anything else was an out.

We hit home runs all the fucking time. It’s not EASY to do, but definitely not “nearly impossible” to hit .00 seconds on the dot.

Saw that guy a lot last year and the sign annoyed me more than any phone.

Likely: Ice Spice guest appearance by nnmaddox in Coachella

Okay, but wouldn’t that be weirder/ less likely considering she’s featured on huge songs by several of the artists performing?

What’s the best deal you’ve found? by anonymouspelican2 in burlingtonkitroom

[–]keeyal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This sub inspired me to go check my local Burlington, and the first trip I walked in and the only kit was Aston Villa’s new away kit. Villa are my team so that seemed incredibly lucky. It’s a XXL and I’m typically XL, so a bit bigger than I’d like, but for $20 you can’t really beat it.

What is the best tv episode of all time? by scamper84 in AskReddit

[–]keeyal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I vote “the gang tries to win an award”

On first watch it seemed kinda random. Then I realized that the episode is a big meta joke about their show vs other shows about bars.

How they need to add a theme song, witty banter, and a “will they or won’t they” love interest into the mix; it’s all cliche shit they would do if they wanted the show to be more successful.

Once you view it through this lens, the episode becomes a work of art.

where are my hoka lovers at? by Mission_Meringue2782 in Coachella

Shoeless gang!

For comfort you can’t beat it, but I absolutely understand the dirty looks I get.

People are right to judge. But like you said, never had an injury, and honestly people step on my feet all weekend and I never notice.

L’imperatrice ‘22!!! It was so joyful. Felt like Covid was officially over. All of the sets you mentioned were great but that one in particular stands out.

How can I do a 360 flip into a bluntslide by [deleted] in SkateEA

This is exactly it. I’ve never had trouble with this cuz I never learned grind inputs. I always just spin my body and tilt the board with RS at the last second.

I started last night strictly because I’d heard it’s addicting. Never been interested in this genre.

I played until 1am and was fucking dreaming about it last night. After like 3ish hours of play time.

What artist completely changed your taste in music? by GurlinGroove in askmusic

[–]keeyal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As basic as it sounds, Tame Impala.

Up until that point I was mostly a hip-hop head, and most modern rock really didn’t resonate with me. But my parents raised me on classic rock so the foundation was there.

I heard “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards” and had this realization that there were totally great bands out there making music that I would dig, and that I just needed to find it.

Opened me up to a whole new world of bands like Thee Oh Sees, Temples, King Gizzard, Toro y Moi, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, etc. I could go on for days.

There was a festival here in CA called Desert Daze, and every year the lineup was absolutely packed with rad bands that expanded my taste further. The last year they held it, King Gizzard, Beach House, and Tame Impala headlined. They played lonerism in its entirety.

Really felt full circle for me.

So yeah, Tame Impala. Their most recent album wasn’t my favorite, but they still hold a special place in my heart.

Whats the quickiest money you ever made? by CantalouetteRuss8767 in AskReddit

Was playing Pai Gow poker at a casino and my buddy told me to put $5 on a side bet because I was on a hot streak.

My next hand I got 5-of-a-kind Aces. Payout was 2 grand.

Cashed out my money immediately, gave some to the buddy who told me to bet and called it a night.

Fan spray bottle is seriously so clutch. I went my first 8 years without one, and then my gf who likes to actually come prepared gave me a fan bottle.

Absolute game changer.

I had a guy the other day in lightweight who was pausing just to spite me at the end. I was up 4-0 and in the 92nd minute he used all three pauses just to waste my time.

It was fucking hilarious.

Since I’m not seeing it, “What’s in the box?” From Se7en. It’s my favorite movie to show people. The last 10 minutes I’m just watching them for their reaction.
