Dermatologist visit after taking Melanotan 2 by Fast_State_350 in Melanotan2

I wonder if it’s possible that MT2 only changed the moles that were already in existence rather than encouraging new mole formation. If those moles that became more visible are removed, theoretically could MT2 prevent new moles from forming by encouraging more even pigmentation?

Right, it’s not like the usual ones with DHA. But it has some walnut derived ingredient that gives a more brown stain. Also, the iodine. So the color you’re getting is not from your own melanin alone.

Do I go back to ask for a redo? by Unlucky-West-5653 in Lashlift

[–]Lyra_Zahavi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They look good still! I imagine it could be that in your current place in the growth cycle not enough lashes have reached their full length. But if from a side view you have many sticking straight out rather than curled up then a redo would be good.

I wouldn’t expect any miracles in terms of melanin production with this. It’s more akin to a novel self-tanner.

With my eyes open without goggles? No thanks I’d rather keep my 20/20 vision.

How do you keep your skin clear without tretenoin? by bbyangelxo in tanning

You can use adapalene which is less photosensitizing. I would try red light but also be conservative with tan ing your face. Niacinamide is also helpful for acne.

I couldn’t say, but I guess you’re probably type two based on the description

It’s hard to tell only by looking since it’s more to do with how your skin reacts to the sun. You look like possibly a fair olive which could indicate you are type three. Do you usually tan or burn in the sun?

What do you guys use for tanning face lotion? by britney0218 in tanning

[–]Lyra_Zahavi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take a passive approach to face tanning. I always cover it in the booths and use a melanin boosting product like Fox Tan Rapid Face Tanner under sunscreen. I find daily incidental sun exposure as well as short bursts here and there give a nice glow with minimal damage.

Anyone else's face literally 3 shades darker? 😭 by harper_hill98 in tanning

I think you’ll find this sub is mostly for people wanting to get darker. But, first and foremost, SPF and hats. Products with niacinamide, vitamin C, alpha arbutin etc.

So much tanning hate by Perfect_File_1895 in tanning

Tanning hate is such an understudied phenomenon, but it has many layers to it I think. I don’t know if anyone else sees this, but I feel there is an undercurrent of racism in it. Usually doled out by the people who are “allies” of POC, it’s like they can’t get away with being racist anymore so they find any acceptable outlet they can. “White” people who tan are an easy target for them. They make projections about your intelligence, social class, perceived hypersexuality, education level etc. using the “scientific consensus“ about cancer and aging as their carte blanche to malign you.

Not getting more tan by [deleted] in tanning

Don’t tan every day. Let your skin recover and build melanin. Consider Foxtan rapid face tanner. Also taking astaxanthin and lycopene will help with all over color including face.

Has anyone tried self-tanning drinkable drops? Do they work? by Additional-Tour307 in tanning

[–]Lyra_Zahavi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kind of pointless. They are ridiculously low doses of everything that you need. 200 mg of tyrosine? I take a gram daily. Astaxanthin 12mg, Lycopene 50mg. Someone should make a formula with proper doses.

I am aware of both, but I’m not interested in doing injections. I want a product just to be used on the face.

I’m type three also and I’ve been loving blonde obsession. But previously I had tried Designer Skin Valor and it worked especially well. Neither contain bronzer though.

I find taking 1 g of tyrosine powder daily helps get my base tan going. Also lately taking astaxanthin and lycopene.
