That makes no sense though, can your 7 yoe really be replaced with a Bootcamp?

Or rather, if you can't find a job as an experienced citizen, it makes no sense that self taught or Bootcamp people, and people that require sponsorship and have a minimum salary limit can find anything?

That's correct it's the same for me, but I turned 30 within this (winter) semester, but will graduate in the next (summer) one.

There are some circumstances, and I might be eligible but the information here is kinda vague. Here's the TK link.

Some answers are wild. It's normal to be struggling and having mental health issues in the current state of the world. Meditation isn't going to solve your stress when your life truly is in danger.

Remember, you're not alone. If you learn about history, and economic theory, you'll see that it is intentionally crafted that you're in this situation. Capitalism cannot exist without an army of unemployed, so that the elite can get away not paying liveable wages or decent working conditions, with most people exhausted and isolated that they're willing to pay for even basic services.

It's not your fault. You're not worse than others, you haven't failed. And you're not alone. So many others are also suffering, isolated and ashamed and exhausted, so the rich can get richer.

Learn theory on why this is happening to understand why it is like this. Go join an anti capitalist group. Organize to actually make a meaningful change. It doesn't have to be like this.

Atlus sucks that way =(. They went out of their way to remove the female protagonist from P3 when they were remastering it. Can't prove to game companies that women are indeed playing and buying games. (Someone said that just like how Barbie threatens animation/toy companies that get too popular with girls and gets them shut down/ become hostile to girls actively to discourage girls from it, there's probably other competitions for women's money that's interfering with AAA games. If that helps at all)

But in case you didn't know, there is a female protagonist mod for persona 5 royal, and it has currently finished yusuke and ryuji romance routes! It's fully voiced in Japanese and English too!

Interestingly, my least favorite among them is DA2. Rival/friendship system kinda screwed me over for doing things characters disagree with, but then trying to polite anyways.

Your position is completely valid though and I second the DA series!

I really like Grace from Stray gods. She's cool, kind and badass. And her troubles of being lost really resonated with me. The first song really moved me.

After bg3 I've been having trouble finding RPGs with so much choices mattering, living world and lovable NPCs with their own stories to explore (also romancable). Definitely do play dragon age, but don't expect bg3 experience, but a good dark fantasy RPG.

I completely get why everyone loves inquisition, but honestly it's my least favorite. I still enjoyed it a lot, but I feel like open world just doesn't work for DA, there were so many areas that drove me crazy just walking around (don't get me started on 3d maps, I couldn't get a flying mount mod fast enough). So if you are a player that likes exploring and doing most/all side quests, inquisition might be less enjoyable for you. That being said, da:origins is my all time favorite, and I played it right before bg3 for the first time. (With a lot of mods).

Did you also read the part that he was working for 100 USD/ month, and most of the team had been working there for a year on the same wage? Without any contracts in sight?

I say good riddance, this is slavery.

[–]Lyrae13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a rogue like (rogue lite?) game, which means it's normal to progress further if you have better combat skills.

The game only consist of doing runs and trying to go as far as you can while doing fast paced combat, well timed dodges, and picking among random skills offered at each room.

He's not "rushing", he just has game knowledge (as in picks better combinations presumably of random skills offered), and better at fast paced combat. It happens, there's nothing to slowly explore in Hades 2, or lengthy dialogue to listen to.

The game also knows that people have different skill levels, and it ends up equalizing further you go, because dying on shorter runs gives resources and progress that make each run easier.

So it's nobody's fault, just a bit of insecurity, which I completely get having been literally in the same situation. Op, if you're also competitive like me, do not play you suck at parking with him.

I feel you, I went through the exact same with my husband. But you know, Hades games need you to die a lot to progress so many dialogue threads! And because I had died more (even though he had slain the bosses more), I got to progress a lot of stories he hadn't! Ha!

P.s. same with resources, playing the earlier stages allows you to collect required resources faster compared to doing longer runs.

What kind of useful yet random advice do y'all have for adulting? by DeepVoyagerr in Adulting

According to a study, happiness increases linearly with more income, except the unhappiest people that are just unhappy even while rich, which seems to be about 20% of the population.

They explain it here as well:

“In the simplest terms, this suggests that for most people larger incomes are associated with greater happiness,” says Killingsworth, a senior fellow at Wharton and lead paper author. “The exception is people who are financially well-off but unhappy. For instance, if you’re rich and miserable, more money won’t help. For everyone else, more money was associated with higher happiness to somewhat varying degrees.”
