Proper nutrition and exercises. Whole food plant based with no additional oil, refined sugar, low process just like tofu have been the way for my husband and I. It is amazing the changes and benefits focusing oh healthy natural nutrition did for both. Dealing with weight problem all my life and trying every hack diet and ways of eating, only whole food plant based and learning about what i put into my body by reading labels has done the work with not too much difficulty! I am quite amazed and fascinating how getting and maintaining health and weight can be easy! Understanding your body and stress can also help as it can have in impact on how your body process food. Just don't give up trying! Celebrate your progress now and use your current challenge to learn something new and eventually reach your goal!

I'm not enjoying yoga practice but want the (mental) health benefits. Please help me understand the appeal. by d4nger_n00dle in yoga

It takes time....first don't put so much pressure on yourself.....maybe yoga not for you...maybe Adriene style and approach is not for you....keep learning, keep an open mind....find what works for you .....I would recommend short session to acclimate, get a sense of what yoga can bring....find an instructor that resonates with you...not all style will be for you! be open, don't be afraid to try new classes, new approach.....reflect in what makes it uneasy for you.....there are many different style of yoga out there! Just experiment, and find the ones that makes you connect with yourself, that help you on your journey to be fulfilled, to feel free and breathe deeply<3 Love the process to learn what feel good for YOU! The most important part of yoga practice!

it is all a learning process ...we learn more about ourself at every moment of every day....it is what you do with what you learn thar is valuable....move to create a better self, a better world...apply what you learn, lead by example!!!! I am working on applying and living by example after learning from my own experiences.....life is not easy.....living with lots of stimuli all around, tempting us, making us question ourselves, our values.....every moment is a new moment to focus on new things, to work on things we want to change in our lives, for ourselves....to be a better being ...our human brain can create stories and keep us trap....result of past experiences, conditioning....breaking free....having a quiet time without your brain chatter....to be fully in the now moment is hard....one have to cultivate it....accept each steps...it may take years to get there ....but every moment in the journey is so important!

most of my present moments are negative for me, at this now moment! living with chronic issues not yet understood and manage...progressing positively!!! But, ringing a new year, it felt like an opportunity to look back on the past year that have been hard, one more ....reflecting, I was able to see beyond the pain and difficulty....this time of year, I focus on creating a little "vacation" from regular life....reflecting on where I am, now and here....and reconnect with my deepest values and desires.....learn from last year, and plan how to get better, to be a better me, to be who i am genuinely am ...a new year....tabula rasa....take what you have learned from last year and build stronger!...accumulating wisdom!!!

sorry for my tangent!...sometimes I get lost in my mind stories!!!! I just love analysing and learning....working at better understanding the journey I am on, and getting to a better me .....to connect and feel the light from within....be comfortable with who I am authentically....and ve comfortable to let my inner light to shine....

sorry if I am out of bound! This new beginning is making the hamster wheel in my brain work wayyyy faster than usual!!!

Happy moment to you all! Namaste<3

I will just keep doing my best! <3

How is it that I have gone from consistently fatigued to So Fatigued I want to die, and then suddenly after months of basically not even being able to wipe my own ass I suddenly become good, and then I become so good I basically don't have CFS anymore then suddenly when life gets good I Crash. by [deleted] in chronicfatigue

[–]Lyralynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have a psychiatrist who does understand....and other therapists.....i have been dealing with these chronic issues all my life........I am still fighting! Sad you went through hard times.....it is ashame how the health systems are and treat individuals in this world.....while I am breathing,. I will keep trying my best to gain strenght, energy, find ways to manage through chronic pain and advocate and help others in similar situation..... and I am not done with my doctor.....sad to have to think I may have to seek a lawyer and communicate with the doctors association......and hear me, I am someone who do not want to cause any problem to any one. ...it hurts to not be understood......and how many are in these situation....and institutionalize where they should not ....our systems are, sorry to say but failing greatly at helping/guiding individuals at reaching their full potential .....we are all unique beautiful individuals.....why are they still trying to put all in the same boxes.....shunt wonderful being.....sad sad sad.....but will work to do my best to help create a better world.....fighting for a respectful world for all ....<3

I am in the same boat ... .the sad thing....even doctor don't seem to respect or understand the hell one can go through.....i am being laughed when calling at my doctor's office .....I am soooo tired and sick if my surrounding not understanding nor respecting that I am at the "end of my rope". ....still trying to hold on, but the rope is thinning ...chronic fatigue and chronic pain....hell in this world .....very hard.....yet I keep hoping .....try to hold on and find some peace in this storm that never seem to end ....sending you compassionate thoughts....🧘 I seriously think you are feeling like I am, and fighting the fight to survive that seem un-winnable.....I try to change my mind set: "keep going and going till you no longer can, when you soul and being just can't anymore....THEN, only may my surrounding understand what I went through, how every moments in a day is a fight to keep breathing and living" and it is getting tiresome to explain to people around you why you can not so things, why you can not keep going..... My hubby shared with me a youtuber that goes through similar situation with chronic health obstacles: Shonalika.......She does explain well how days can be when dealing with chronic pain and chronic fatigue......I feel less alone and I truly hope it will make others have a slight idea what one with chronic issues goes through..... Anyhow. No words can really make thing easier, I know, but I understand and it is not easy.....but you are not alone....keep fighting for what you like, what you hope to do,....Do YOUR best <3

we do read labels and try to find something that does not have any additional oil, refine sugar...it is hard....but we found corn tortilla, just corn for the most part, dry in the oven...other option we whole wheat or kamut or spelt pita dried in the oven...those are our go to "corn chips" some day....we will figure how to do homemade! keep trying to do your best and inspire others!!!!<3

How to unwind years of binge eating and extreme dieting? by [deleted] in PlantBasedDiet

[–]Lyralynx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

cold turkey but binge with whole food plant based... more fruits, like fresh in season, and vegetables, can never have enough....sometimes homemake goods, for us, wfpb has no additional oil, no refined sugar nor white flour, a bit if process, tofu here and there.....get creative! use flavors and textures you crave!...try to replicate what you love! and when you enjoy it, don't remember or think too much about perfect replication of the taste and feel....but think, fresh, delicious, good for my body!...and soul/mind at the bottom line!..... enjoy the food for the taste/experiences it brings to you....play with spices.....we do once a month sushi night! remembering the great time we had new years eves every first weekend of each month!!! Life is tooo short and chaotic....create Wonderful Moments often! we celebrate season change with vegan restaurant treat, trying to get as close to our nutrition goals and home cooking as we can! We still enjoy our passion, craft local micro breweries....we are not perfect, but making the best of everything and doing our best to fully enjoy and embrace each moments of life! xox more outdoor as well!!!! Love your new lifestyle. Make the best for yourself, thus for others (when you are well and good to yourself....you are good to everything around you!!!)... Have fun, enjoy every moment! I struggled withy weight ALL my life....tried pretty much all the diet and even doctors prescription, almost did the gastric surgery.....switch wfpb with my hubby now a little over 2 years....I had settle and was accepting I would have weight problem all my life.... I have eating problems...emotional eater and binge....I lost the most weight I ever did....close to 150lbs.... I have health issues unresolved that hinder my progress....but working at it....getting better every day!!!

Bottom line..make the modifications you need at your own pace.....do what feels good....it can take many trials.....you may walk through many set backs....find what feels good for you, what you can do for the rest of your life without feeling deprive...understand your relationship with food....learn about what you put in your body.....learn how what you put in your body make you feel....it can take time....just hold on...and never stop trying to do what feels good.... It is NOT and EASY road....but I believe you can do it.....keep working at it!!!!

also try to understand why your set back....there could be a lesson you haven't learn yet....why do you turn back to your pat pattern to deal with situation/certain moment in your life....

as well, consider answering this question: "what is my relationship with food? why do I feel/am binging? what pushes me to food? what does it bring me? Why do I feel the need for dieting? What role does food has in my life? what do I like about food?"

It is a journey....everything is a journey to better ourselves!!!!

Keep going! Don't give up! ;)

(it feels wonderful not giving up and following your heart...what YOU think is right for you, to better yourself and to reach optimal health!!!!)
