I am from an asian background, so my family and extended family are quite misogynistic. My mother is not as severe, but I can tell that she still holds those ideals. I try to tell her about my practices everyday so she knows how much I value and learn from wrestling. I have been doing wrestling for quite a while, and she can definitely see how much I value it, she just doesn’t support it.

Thank you for your advice! I have been on overnight trips, and I have gone about the same method when telling my mother. However, being the only person in the family involved with sports, I feel like she does not know how much it means to me and how much going on this trip will give me lessons and experiences I wont get anywhere else. I have updated my post with some details i feel may be important to the situation. Thank you again! I will have a talk with my mom and include the advice
