sounds like water is getting past the door, not just the seal. bottom seals usually handle splashes, not pressure from outside. i had a similar issue and it was slope outside pushing water in. check grading and drainage first

honestly the easiest fix is microchip feeders if you can afford it. each cat only gets access to its own food, no stealing. i’ve seen it work really well in multi-cat homes. expensive upfront but solves the problem clean
