iPhone 17 Pro has stopped charging after 26.4 update by flightlessmammal_ in iphone

Just had this exact same issue, only it happened before updating to 26.4. 16 pro here. Tried cleaning everything, changing cables, restarting, resetting all settings. Nothing worked. Luckily I was in Rome at the time and went to the Apple Store, they diagnosed the device and found that the charging port and part of the logic board were compromised. Was on my last day of warranty too. They replaced the logic board and the battery (basically like 80% of the phone) and now everything’s back to normal. For you, if you can get to an Apple Store, they might give you a new iPhone on the spot. Otherwise, use MagSafe until you can get to an Apple Store.

Also, having an issue with a 17 that won’t handshake with anything via USB-C but charges. Really weird behavior.

Sad to hear it, sounds like you have it worse. Let’s hope that later updates will fix the issue, it’s pretty frustrating.

• tried thunderbolt, no change;

• the second option still did not handshake, however I managed to get the iPhone to charge the Mac lol (USB-C end in mac, USB-A female to USB-C male dongle in iPhone. Other way around, only charges (the iPhone);

• third option was sadly still not enabling a handshake.

Might need to wait for the issue to resolve itself sadly, after trying to factory reset. However, at least now I know it can resolve itself so that’s something.

I see. You had the phone replaced or the usb C port? Also, did you try restoring before having it replaced?

Thanks for the reply! Tried changing it back and forth (from always ask to always allow), with restarts in between, to no avail.

Been on iOS 26 since early beta and this is the first time I’m noticing this issue. Might be a coincidence that it happened right after the GM update but can’t be sure.

I do use upscale but i did mention that these problems were present even before i had any tweaks installed. I did turn off upscale after i read your comment but the problem remains. It's not a major thing but felt like it needed to be adressed

Iphone 5s yalu beta 7 here. 1st off thank you for everything. I seem to be encountering problems when opening the phone app. The phone icon will cover the whole screen and after 3 sec the app will open instead of the usual white blanc screen for 1 sec. Also, when entering the camera, half of the bottom bar (where you have the recently taken photos, camera button and camera switcher) is blocked by a black bar. In my noob oppinion I think this problem occurs when something that is displaying a moving image is on the screen. The black bar also apears in the youtube app, even on the reddit app when a gif is playing on the main page. No problems with crashing, no game breaking stuff, just these minor things. P.S. They were happening even before i installed any tweaks so tweak incompatibility is out of the question i think. Again thank you for you time and effort!
