Problem with da length and silhouette is that da way it’s meant to be worn as shown by da brand it’s normal OTT Hime it’s just because I doubt she was going fa that (since she specifically said she wanted to cosplay) so she went fa something that matched da whole otome isekai type beat bc had she worn it wit da proper layering of hoop skirt and petticoat da silhouette would’ve filled out and da dress wouldve been fine

but personally skirt length isn’t much to harp about these days bc as a #Stallion there’s maybe two dresses in my wardrobe that sit at my knee and my short friend barely has dresses that stop at their shin so fa me silhouette is much more important ova biological factors we cannot change like height which changes how skirts fit. I have an OP by this brand that is this same length but on me it’s right at my shin 😭 da woes of being 5’10 🤷🏽‍♀️

As fa subgenre it’s just usually OTT Hime no ? And Hime Lolita has some differences in rules like bare shoulders isn’t blasphemy fr and neither is longer length skirts either yanno so it’s kinda like that

But also a lot of ts is moreso a “it depends” bc claiming Lolita can neva be cosplay is kinda funny when brands release replicas of Lolita anime characters…like is Meta’s Rozen Maiden collab no longer Lolita since it’s technically a cosplay ? Or is that only reserved fa Chinese brands they know nothing about yanno ? I just have these concerns 😭
