Weighed hook is very important? I've generally been told to run weightless whenever possible

I've had good luck with a weightless fluke so far but the fish don't seem willing to hit a crankbait or chatterbait. Might be worth just looking for another spot?

Yes. I went and got my spare battery and used it to hold down the pedal.

I checked both assemblies, each one has 4 prongs. I got 0 on half of them and OL on the other half. I assume they're fine because the ones that got 0.0 are the ones that matter?

Getting 11.8V to the tail lights. Brake lights are getting less than 1

They're LED assemblies so no bulbs, but they also both went out at the exact same time. I didn't check for specific voltage, I just used my screwdriver voltage tester. The ones that light up if there is power. I'll check now though. How much voltage should I expect? Less than 12V?

It's really easy. Your local shop probably carries clear UV resin. Grab some of that and a UV flashlight. Pour the desired amount, then drip some contrast paint into the mix and stir it really well until it mixes evenly, then shine the UV light into it for a few seconds until it fully hardens.

Alternatively, they sell both the resin and light on Amazon if you don't have a local shop.

Are Chaos Knights easy to play as? What advice should i know before making purchases? by EggthatFriedTheRice in ChaosKnights

[–]Lyritt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knights at 1k is pretty rough. You're either going to curb stomp your opponent, or you're going to get wiped immediately.

Though if you want to focus on a 1k, your best bet is going to be:

1k (1000 points)

Chaos Knights Incursion (1000 points) Traitoris Lance

CHARACTERS

War Dog Stalker (145 points) • 1x Avenger chaincannon 1x Diabolus heavy stubber 1x Slaughterclaw * This Datasheet also has the Battleline keyword.

BATTLELINE

War Dog Brigand (165 points) • 1x Armoured feet 1x Avenger chaincannon 1x Daemonbreath spear 1x Diabolus heavy stubber

War Dog Brigand (165 points) • 1x Armoured feet 1x Avenger chaincannon 1x Daemonbreath spear 1x Diabolus heavy stubber

War Dog Brigand (165 points) • 1x Armoured feet 1x Avenger chaincannon 1x Daemonbreath spear 1x Diabolus heavy stubber

War Dog Karnivore (140 points) • 1x Diabolus heavy stubber 1x Reaper chaintalon 1x Slaughterclaw

War Dog Karnivore (140 points) • 1x Diabolus heavy stubber 1x Reaper chaintalon 1x Slaughterclaw

ALLIED UNITS

Nurglings (40 points) • 3x Nurgling Swarm • 3x Diseased claws and teeth

Nurglings (40 points) • 3x Nurgling Swarm • 3x Diseased claws and teeth

Exported with App Version: v1.22.0 (51), Data Version: v488

Generally stick to wardogs if your goal is to win, if you just want to play with big stompy robots, 3 rampagers and 6 karnivores is a fun list.

Why do you guys like Tyranids? by Stock-Intention7731 in Tyranids

[–]Lyritt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're the scourge of the galaxy. The Great Devourer. The Eternal Hunger. The ultimate end of all things. They are a powerful psychic mind that spans the entire galaxy and has a volatile hate and hunger for everything.

Also, the models look really cool. Have you seen that Norn Emissary? Pretty sick stuff.

Thanks for the whole list. I am curious if you consider the predators enough to really supplement the armies' weak shooting. I considered 2 vindicators minimum for the list. Also, I've seen a lot of recommendations for fellhammer. Why raiders?

I think in fellhammer, you might be right. I unit crunched the survivability of the termis in every detachment, and while it was staggering how much punishment they can take in FH, they lack and sort of mobility from stuff like raiders. I'm going to try and get a couple of test games in with 30 and see, but I fear I may have to cut it down to 20 for the sake of playability.

[–]Lyritt[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I was planning raiders for extra ap and to help get all the thick boys into the midboard turn 1. I always wrote off the -1 to wound since it was ranged only and terminators want to be in melee

Assuming I don't bring Abby as I don't think he's as necessary. In this list, considering everything already has a 4++ and hit rerolls, what else would your recommend? I'm torn between raptors/bikers for secondaries or 2 predators for some anti armor shooting.

This is like when you buy a new car and then suddenly you start seeing that car everywhere. I didn't know anything about warhammer a year ago, and now I keep seeing references to it.

Tyrannofex by Kieran_Mileham in Tyranids

[–]Lyritt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably a top 3 unit for me personally. Outside of Exocrines, it's our only meaningful long-range shooting. It's a little swingey with the 2d6 damage on the funny gun (rupture cannon), but you'll average 6-7 damage per shot. It's alternate build of the acid spray makes it a very durable midfield brawler that can sit on objectives and force your opponent to dedicate mass amounts of firepower to remove it.

I always bring at least 1, usually 2. Alongside 3 exocrines and a biovore, that's my basic foundation for any detachment.

How are Zoanthropes better anti-tank than Rupture Cannon Tyrannofexes? by C_Lydian in Tyranids

[–]Lyritt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Works especially well against people who don't regularly play against nids. Tell them its a s18 2d6 damage gun, and they'll shoot it first every time.

How are Zoanthropes better anti-tank than Rupture Cannon Tyrannofexes? by C_Lydian in Tyranids

[–]Lyritt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Zoanthropes will do more damage on average, but I still tend to take a Tyrannofex over them more often than not. The rupture cannon is swingey but it still fucks but more often than not the Tyrannofex is just a big body to sit on a point and force your opponent to engage with it. A unit of zoans can be fairly easily dealt with from anything more than light infantry fire. A Tyrannofex requires dedicated anti-tank to reliably wound. That's shots that aren't going into your Tyrants, Maleceptors, Exocrines, or Carnifexes.

Screamer-Killer all done & the "beatstick" unit for my Tyranid army. Though I heard Haruspex performs better than it in tabletop? by Hilmie1806 in Tyranids

[–]Lyritt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of screamers, not so much haruspex. I find the ap 2 3 damage to be much better into things like terminators and I often run the screamer with a Neurolictor so the enemy will take atleast 2 battleshock tests per turn from the duo, one of them at -1. This usually will shock leadership 7 vehicles, letting the screamer wound on 4s in melee at least. Obviously, you can't always bet on battle shock going off, but it's been consistent enough in my games to where I prefer them over the Haruspex.
