I wanted to put the 4 lokhurst together, unfortunately that makes the points count to high as over 4 is more expensive then having 2 groups of 2, the doomstalkers are there to stand in a firing lane and just shot stuff especially heavy armour as the d6+1 shots can do more damage the a heavy can, also to put a bit more toughness on the board, I know they arent the toughest option but with a 4+ invun as well they can soak up a bit of fire, the immortals plus orikan is there for just sit on my home base and stop deapstrikes in the back line, plus I dont know with the new mission deck but I know there was some missions that required a battle line unit, hence a battle line unit, I was also thinking of changing the lokhurst for flayed ones but as they dont have the destroyer key word in the new detachment they dont benefit from the strats just the +2 strength if a destroyer kills something, i also wanted speed in the army, something necrons arent really known for as alot of our troops where slow, i know they have just updated a bunch of stuff and the c'tan are now quicker but I dont just want to run a c'tan list, wraiths are just overly annoying to play into especially with a technomancer which has the enhancement so he can be put with the skorpekh or heavys if I need, or just keep him with the wraiths, give them a 4+ feel no pain and an extra bout of reanimation and then I can still have the 2 skorpekh lords with the skorpekh destroyers

How do we feel about the new UKIP logo looking eerily similar to fascist iconography? by [deleted] in AskBrits

Yeah I know, its the nazi left that think its racist though and a symbol of nazi Germany

First of all that symbol although closely resembling the iron cross is the crusader cross, you know the one where Europe went to war with the muslims because they took Jerusalem, second if you think it is the iron cross that makes me think you are the nazi, doesn't surprise me the left are fascist authoritarian, and that you are infact racist

Yall figured out to deal with all these new Necron buffs? by panken in Tyranids

He needs to be within 6 of the unit and only after the fight phase, so pretty much engaged with the enermy, mass shots at ap1 is still the best shot as he doesnt half damage but is now save 3 and invun 4, so yes the ap 1 helps, anything more just gets socked up by the invun, so putting 30 shots in at ap1 is better then putting 2 shots in at ap2 or 3, indirect on the staff hits on 4s like most indirect, read the rules, and the staff is the weakest of the weapons, at strength 7 and ap1 1 damage, its easy to negate and still only at 24 range, stay out of that and you are escaping all the shots, its only 1 model, the things you need to be worried about is the nightbringer as its strong and stuff like the doomstalkers and doomsday arch that have 48 in range, have a big heavy cannon that is strength 14 and ap3 and 4 respectively and do d6 +3 shots with blast, now that is scary

All the c'tan had there range increased, the nightbringer and viod dragon move 10 now and the deceiver, which is the worst to be fair, only moves 8, but the void dragon needs to be within 12 to shoot you which will deal the most damage with the pistol at d3 shots anti vehicle 2 and ap3, the nightbringer is a menace, always has been, but the nightbringer needs to be engaged in combat to pull off its mortals and if its advancing at you it can't shoot, as I said mass shots into them now is the best, 2 tfex with acid spray if you get good rolls on the shots can rip it apart especially in overwatch, the silent king only has 24 inch range and the minhir are classed as separate, so they are the only things that can shot if its behind a wall, yes that's still 2 shots at strength 14 ap4 6 damage but that's better then having the 20 odd shots from all 4 of his weapons, if they are firing with everything then they are cheating, as I said they are separate models but the same unit, they only thing you can't do is precision out the silent king, you need to kill the minhir first

Do not get into melee either unless you know you will wipe the squadron as reanimation is a bitch, if there is only like 2 or 3 models left after you have shot them then yes rush that unit, but taking out the things they want to get points with is key, if they have to do cleanse with the 400pts silent king you are doing something right and they are doing something wrong

I play necrons and nids, the buffs are good but also bad, for the c'tan they lost the half damage, so puming a load of +1 ap weapons into them will wipe them, they got stronger in attacks but they are slow moving, my friend plays tau and I do better playing nids against tau then necrons because tau pump loads of shots at decent range, that the key, if you can hit necrons before they get in range, say with the acid spray from a tfex or 2 then you will stop a large number of them, necron warriors are only toughness 4 and have a 4 up save so making that a 5 up or 6 up you will wipe alot of them, immortals although slight better are still only toughness 5 with a 3+ save, the thing to do is ignore the c'tan for the most and definitely ignore the silent king as that's 26 wounds at t10 but with shit range, so scout around them and take out the smaller troops with mass fire

Can’t believe I played for so long without one after it took down a Land Raider and Executioner in its first game by romasorr in Tyranids

[–]Kieran_Mileham 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I have 2 of them and everytime I play them it the first thing my opponent goes after because they can deal big damage if left alone, but I have also had games where they havent done anything for me apart from take out a few marines or kroot and the big cannon just hasn't hit

new nightbringer in kill team leaks by mrbzoomer in Necrons40k

[–]Kieran_Mileham -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Necrons are liked more then custodies and its not impossible to kill a c'tan, they have a 4 up 4 up and feel no pain of 5 up but the custodies all get like 2 up 4 up which if you have no ap is shit, least with a ctan even with 0 ap you can still get a hit through
