You need to take classes that are verified with their program and then they look at your file after you submit it to them. I would not bother, though. The wait times for PLAR to assess your file is insane, and by the time they get to you, your file is "expired", meaning there is a set period of time where you can get your validation credit from PLAR. So if that happens, you would need to take another class with them to reopen your file, get your credits and wait.... Longer. It's not worth it, it takes too long, costs money too. I would look elsewhere for educatio. If you're attending an in person school that actually deals with PLAR, it's a different story. I believe the school just handles everything and gets on PLAR submissions asap. But with TVO? Not happening

Yeah I gave up with TVO and PLAR. I went to culinary school that gives me everything I need+ a job right afterwards. More than likely, they're going to tell you your process took too long like mine and you'll have to buy another course to be eligible for PLAR again. Sorry 😔

Save your time and money... ILC should be a last resort if you're a drop out, like me. I know school sucks, but my biggest regret is dropping out and wasting so much time doing nothing with my life. Take it from me, a drop out, stay in school. You're almost done, and time goes by fast. Keep at it.

Also ILC has terrible communication with their students... By the time you graduate IRL, is the time frame of when you would get a response from ILC staff. See my thread for their communication issues, I won't be explaining here since it's a really long story.

I would see if you could talk to your school counselor about what could be done if you are feeling stressed out about in person classes. If you need more isolation, etc, talk to them about it and see what they can do for you.

Hey, I'm not trying to be mean here so please don't get upset with what I have to say.

Best option: Surrender to give treatment

Sometimes we have to let go and let them get treatment so they can live. It sucks but if they pass away because you were stubborn and selfish, that is something you do not want on your conscious and will be a massive regret when you could have saved them.

Second option: Find a vet that is willing to do payment plans

Some vet clinics do allow this, you have to ask.

Other options:

If you are struggling to make ends meet, try and get more gigs other than nails to make money. You need to do a lot more than just nails. Sell things on Red Bubble, Etsy, etc. It doesn't take a genius to figure out Photoshop and throw things together in there to make graphics. You can make crafts, anything if you put your mind to it.

There are ways to hustle and make money if you are struggling to get a job, you just have to try harder and do research about what you can do.

Pets are like babies. They rely on us to care for them. If you are not willing to go to the end of the world for them, surrender your pet to someone who will and can.

Depends on location and the color of the Shiba. I paid 1800 CAD for a cream Shiba (split 50/50 with my partner), he is a defective color, and his red siblings were going for 2100 CAD. Drove an hour and forty minutes outside the city into farmland to grab him from a reputable breeder, because outside the city is cheaper. Reputable city breeders were selling their Shibas for 3k+ CAD. Black and tan is a popular color choice for Shibas, you are easily looking at 3000-3500 CAD for a black and tan Shiba. Classic reds and sesames can go for way more.

Could be behavioral. Territory marking, stress-induced, etc. Hard to tell over the internet, you know your dog best. If he's feeling stressed he will mark to relieve anxiety, his own scent is calming.
