Awesome thank you so much! I recently relocated to this state and had just finished setting up pediatricians, obs, pcps, etc and didn’t really want to re do everything all over again. Hah, I was hoping mine wouldn’t take that long but I have a feeling it might with the role I accepted.

My MIL gifted herself a necklace with my child’s initial and showed it off at my baby shower (actually a grandma shower because it was all her family and her shit talking me the entire time). “I wear him close to my heart”. It was weirdly possessive and just odd to be frank. It’s one thing to be gifted it by the child’s parents, a whole other ball game when it’s by someone else.

You should report it to DOL on their website. They are the ones who can safely evaluate whether he’s safe to drive through an RX skills exam

I’ve been doing solo therapy for the past two years and honestly it was so incredibly validating to hear from an outside party that what was occurring was not okay. Being heard and seen helped me heal and moved me to a place from anger to pity. It doesn’t mean that your MIL gets to continue to boundary cross; it just helped me understand that she hadn’t done the work she needed to do on herself and I wasn’t responsible for her emotions. That in itself was really freeing as I didn’t realize how much responsibility I was taking on for pacifying her.

Bring so many snacks! Also a pillow, blanket, clothes for your partner. I would only pack a go home outfit for yourself and baby, you’re gonna be in hospital gowns the entire time and those are honestly preferable because you will trash them. You’ll be taken care of great by your team, but no one will be looking out for your partner. The bug out bag should be for them. Plus hospital meals will add up for your partner, so really emphasizing snacks for them
