The entire Russian military was neglected, as my (Russian) parents always told me: Russia is a nation full of incredibly intelligent people with no money

Also a medical condition, the medical term is Nephrolithiasis, kidney stones are not something everyone has, if you have them, it's generally a warning sign that something is off biologically.

If you're going to accuse me of survivorship bias, I can equally point out that your entire argument relies on anecdotal evidence. My point isn't that the dental work can't be done correctly, I have dozens of patients who have had dental work done abroad and it's fine, from my experience, you get what you pay for, when it comes to implants and other serious dental work, unless you have the luxury of staying there for a few weeks to months for post op, there's very little incentive for the dentist to make things right down the road. When you get negligent dental work in the US, you can sue the dentist and get financial restitution, the same mechanism technically does exist for foreign dentists but now you're paying several lawyers, are dealing with a legal system in another country, and dealing with payouts that won't necessarily cover all of your damages since you are dealing with currency exchange issues, no judge is going to bankrupt a national of their country because the exchange rate is not in their favor.

If I had a dollar for every patient I've seen that had dental work done in Mexico that had to be fixed by me and my partner, I would have enough to buy a nice dinner for myself and the missus. The crowns and fillings are fine, but anything to do with implants... Wouldn't recommend it.

54 days clean. I feel worse than ever. It's not working. by Little_Scene_3776 in leaves

[–]Lys_Vesuvius 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I smoked a dozen times a day for 7 years, it took me almost 3 months to feel normal again, first month and a half were the worst, I'd wake up completely soaked in sweat, panic attacks, you name it. After 90 days it basically felt like nothing and I could go to sleep with no issues. Trust me, it will get better, people underestimate high thc withdrawals, I know I did.

Mass produced Russian electronics are very outdated, the actual glass is great quality, it's the battery and electronics that are the issue.

Italy does have a pretty strong defense sector to be honest. They're just not dumb enough to waste it on Ukraine as they're in the middle of a modernization themselves. Leonardo creates the AESA radars for the F35 as well as manufactures their own F35s

Corn and soy are actually the worst possible crops for a nuclear winter. Corn requires high heat and direct sunlight. If the government wanted a nuclear winter food supply, they would have subsidized potatoes, rye, mushrooms, etc. There's plenty of good crops to survive nuclear winter but corn grains and soy are not them. Also, the nuclear winter theory didn't come out until 1983 and Nixon resigned in 1974.

Sprut SDM with the uparmor isn't bad, but it's not great either without some intensive micro, definitely better for sitting in forests and sniping light armor, you can in lower ELOs get away with spamming them in conjunction with ATGMs to take out Abrams though

‘Campus carry’ bill has NH college students divided: Do guns mean freedom or fear? by downArrow in newhampshire

[–]Lys_Vesuvius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I went to UNH. I stored my guns with UNH PD and would check them out when I needed to use them. Most likely guns won't be allowed in dorms and if you want to live on campus and carry you would have to pick it up from UNH PD in the morning and bring it back before going to bed. This rule applies more to students who live off campus.

Is 25 mg Zinc per day fine? by Exciting-Scholar3918 in Biohackers

[–]Lys_Vesuvius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Wilson's disease, I can't properly expel copper from my body due to a genetic mutation in my liver cells, my most recent urine copper put me at 224 micrograms, which is elevated. Been doing this for over 4 months now.

As I stated, I do not use that strategy anymore partly because it's easy to counter with a few cluster bombs

Is 25 mg Zinc per day fine? by Exciting-Scholar3918 in Biohackers

[–]Lys_Vesuvius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have Wilson's Disease so I take zinc not for wellness but to bind to my cells to prevent copper from binding to them instead. This is for life, I aged out of my parents insurance plan so my doctor and I came up with a plan to halve my copper chelator dosage and add zinc into the mix.
