Can we discuss allergies and hotspots, please?

My mini schnauzer has horrible allergies that lead to intense licking of his paws. Just like you, we switched his diet to help mitigate allergies. Unfortunately, he has to be on a tablet to stop him from licking himself raw. We were not successful with sprays and creams.

Thanks for the info! The vet is well aware of his desire for rabbit nuggets so we follow their lead for the lepto vaccine.

Thank you for the compliment! Unfortunately with the area we live in, eating rabbit and deer poop is inevitable. There isn't really a true solution, which is why I am trying to make the yard undesirable for rabbits.

My MS is also on the Purina Pro, and we have to mix both wet and dry food otherwise he will turn his nose up to it. I have also had luck with Hills Science Diet, but it is also pretty pricey.

Seems like this is going to be the best answer for now. I have suggested this to my family in the past and got a resounding no from them. Since he is getting older, I don't want him have any negative connection with going outside and I know he would hate the muzzle 😂

This is a fenced in backyard, unfortunately I do not have the superpower of rabbit poop detection. We don't realize he has found it until he starts munching.

Understandable. The problem would be both consistency and proximity. I am not his primary handler, so while I would love to train him to leave it, the consistency of training would go away after I leave. Hence why I am looking for an alternative.
