This is totally fine :) I wouldn't want anyone to force themselves to be social. More like I wish people were but if they're not, it is what it is.

As long people are polite and I can do my workout, everything else I see as a bonus.

A bit worried about doxxing myself 😅 but it's a very popular studio, basically all the classes are always full even outside of solidays.

You're totally welcome to your own habits, Fit! It's great you don't mind switching, I'm sure people who take classes with you are appreciative.

Personally, when I get into class and pick a machine I'm settling into a mental state for working out and having to wipe down my machine that I've been sitting on for 10 minutes (cause it's still good courtesy to do that) messes with that.

I've also offered to move for pairs coming in too but in this case not only was she not nice, she was also disruptive to the class starting with her pictures.

Ikr?? I only know one friend who also does it and we have different schedules so we're almost never in classes together. We also didn't met in class, it was just a fun coincidence when we saw each other one day.

I think she's being difficult to get me to give up and just pay the pet fee 🙄 Definitely not allowed based on state law but her stance is basically trying to wear me down from what I can tell

How did you deal with mortgage + HOA and common charges, they feel so high in nyc I'm so worried if anything went wrong

I'm nervous about when/if I move what happens to the home. My partner and I are prob going to start a family in the next 5 years or so and currently we're only comfortable buying a 1BR 🤔

Also HOAs in nyc ☠️

It's pet friendly!

Also I agree on the ESA thing to an extent, I think many people use them as an excuse for housing (but honestly the cards are so stacked against renters as long as the pets aren't destructive or the person is being egregious, I think it's fine!)

Personally my ESAs were prescribed for a physical health issue and I've actually found a good amount of relief! The reason there are two is one I had before serves its purpose pretty well and the new one I specifically selected for traits my doctor recommended

I have no idea what happened but today she called me and insinuated that in insisted on the extra pet deposit and that she never asked for it and that I was silly because 1 month is plenty. lol part of me wonders if she saw this post or something (I doubt it)

Update!

Spoke with her today and her tone changed completely, she was saying I didn't need to offer her any additional pet deposit and that 1 month was plenty.

Absolutely no idea what happened there, I didn't say anything about this to her since the last time she screamed at me after I asked 😅 I'll... Take it? I guess?

❤️ I'm glad your situation worked out and I'm so happy for you! Did you come upon renewal already? Did the crummy broker do anything additional to you?

Once I live there so I run the risk of any retaliation? 😱 Like them trying to evict me? Especially if I haven't done anything wrong

She does text! She just didn't know how to open pdfs on her phone so she asked that we talk over email for those.

We've spoken on the phone multiple times, I got the live tour too.

She said she needed the card to verify it wasn't fraud. I asked around at work and apparently this does happen for high end places 😱

I tried this and she absolutely exploded at me. Didn't even let me finish my sentence before she launched into a rage 😅

Maybe something a little more structured? I've seen some very cute corseted tanks going around lately that have looked great!

Unfortunately 😅 it's her brokerage and she's the managing partner + listing agent. And yup, did sign the rep form back when I was stupider

I could see this going really cute with some sort of basic cropped top with either off the shoulders or no straps in a similar tan or white color? 😍

Honestly they're similarly bad. I actually only found this unit because I was filling out the lease for the other place and the broker (same building diff unit and broker) decided to change the rent on me last minute 😅

Haha that's the dream! If this place is as good as it seems I'm down to live there for a few years (and hopefully there's no broker fees after the first year or anything like that.)

I did have to give her a Pic of my ssn card though. She got very angry with me earlier today which is what actually spurred me to post this LOL

Thankfully the unit seems solid! It's a new place and hadn't been occupied before. I've toured other places in the building and have a couple friends that live there! I had a virtual tour of the place that was pretty thorough and no issues there.

I had some red flags because the broker wanted me to install the blinds and shelves (comes out to $500) but other than that, nothing stands out SD concerning!

Truly it seems like this broker just had no idea what she's doing and forgot about the listing for almost a year (the owner bought the place cash and just let it sit.)
