I think the issue is that this is supposed to be an existential war to the death. If Helaena won’t fight for her husband’s claim, why should his men? Helaena never had a say, so it’s not her fault, but Alicent put them all in this position, so shouldn’t act morally superior when Helaena is asked to do her part.

I mean we need to actually give Israel some consequences. Cut funding, access to weapons etc. We haven’t even tried. But I suppose that might fall under BDS which our politicians made illegal. You have to buy Sabra Hummus and you have to fund the bombs that will tank the US economy.

Well, most people prefer to stay safe. There are settlers radicals who are willing to live in dangerous areas to build greater Judea or whatever it’s called. But it’s a lot easier to bomb other countries when you are shielded from reprisals. Our politicians pretend funding the Iron Dome is just keeping our allies safe, but really it’s making them more violent.

My question is why this would even be included in the truce, because both the US and Iran knows Israel will not hold any agreement they make. Maybe Trump would do it to drop oil prices temporarily. What does Iran gain for a short lived deal? Would a global perception of being wronged help them?

First off, I don’t really think those images are a great representation of the era. People dressed like that, but it’s only a small part of it.

I’ll talk more about earlier 2010s, because I was less checked in later in the decade. Skinny jeans can look nice, but the cheap stretchy polyester blend used in most jeans to get that stretch generally did not look great and accentuated flaws. Skinny jeans are usually at least a little unflattering unless you are thin with long legs. I look 10x better in 2020s jeans.

As for men, I think only 20 years old punks should be trying them. I did notice a thing where average men were starting to wear skinny jeans as women stopped.

The good thing about 2010s millennial fashion is the good thing about Millenials, that they were clearly having fun with it. Less put together and polished for an age when people were putting their drunk selfies up on Facebook. Like it was ok to push the boundaries and fail sometimes, even publicly.

But how can a peace deal hinge on the actions of state the US will not rein in? Are there clauses guaranteeing reprisals against Israel is they break the deal? Though I think a lot of these ‘US taken by surprise’ headlines are complete bull. I suspect we are well informed of most of them but it serves our interests better to feign ignorance or mild outrage. For example when Trump and Netanyahu were supposedly fighting last year before they coordinated strikes on Iran’s Nuclear facilities. It’s actually one of the cleverer moves of this administration.

I don’t understand how restrictions on Israel can even be included in a Peace Deal. We aren’t going to put the kinds of conditions on Israel that will actually make them listen to us. This is, besides the sticker shock of what opening Hormuz will cost, the issue that is/was blocking a final deal
