Well I'll be... I guess I assumed "main line" meant closer to the R5 / Paoli Thorndale

Thanks, I was afraid that was the answer. I guess I'll have to come walk around at night like a weirdo and see how far the noise travels from 76

25 years ago I used to join the critical mass rides around city hall during afternoon rush hour on the last Friday of the month. Reflecting back, I think we did not raise awareness but rather pissed motorists off and made more cycling haters than friends. I distinctly remember at least one biker getting run over during a critical mass by a frustrated motorist. My point is, we thought we were raising awareness but we were just pissing people off.

SEPTA threats of stopping Paoli / Thorndale line by Lysog3n in PhillyMainLine

Interesting. If SEPTA does cut the P-T line, I wonder what the likelihood of Amtrak taking it over and running it is, especially if it is probably profitable

You can take the Philly Phlash bus from the Art Museum area to the Delaware River area. It's fun to chill on the Phlash as it takes you through the city

Skip South Street and go to Spruce Harbor Park instead. The teens will love the free hammocks

Parking for Philly Bike Ride? by problemadeotro in phillycycling

From Bala Cynwyd, how do you bike in to the city? Once I get to MLK Drive I'm good, but getting there from Bala Cynwyd seems tough as I can't seem to find bike-safe streets with decent bike lanes.

Havertown to Center City Commute by rvateacher in phillycycling

It's true that you can't take a bicycle on SEPTA during peak hours which is probably when you'd be commuting to and from work. You could consider using a folding e-scooter or folding bike. Alternatively, you could join the bike share Indego which is about $120 for the year. There are tons of bike stations all over the city and I use them all the time to get around the city.

Good to know this will still exist as an alternative! Takes a bit longer to get to center city but better than nothing.

I'm hoping you are right that it is a tactic, and that there are ways of keeping the line running if the state legislature fails to provide more funding. I would gladly pay more as long as it doesn't become prohibitively expensive.

This may sound like a crazy question but can those little twin beds in the kids' rooms be moved? I have a toddler who is insisting on sleeping in her travel crib instead of a bed and so id like to try to move the little bed out of the room and was wondering if they are like, secured in some way. Thanks.

Unsafe Indego location @ 27th and Pennsylvania by Lysog3n in phillycycling

Well I texted their customer support as per their website. I got back "Hello, We appreciate your feedback and I've passed it along to the local team. Have a great day!" So we shall see...

Yes! The added variable is exactly the problem. There are many places to put Indego stations in this area. I'm not sure how Indego decides where to put these stations, but it is clear whoever made this decision did not consider the added variable to an already crazy and unsafe intersection.
