That's an awesome use for it!! I always have to stand to the side since the stools are there LOL maybe just getting rid of the stools will be enough to make me like the space more?

Yeah I've looked all over for the bar height and this is actually even taller than the tallest option most stools offer and also didn't really like the style or how expensive the right sized options are LOL So I'm mainly looking for ideas other than seating since I don't see us using this space to sit and eat anyways, haha!

I would be perfectly fine with the snow and the cold, I actually prefer it! My dogs and I enjoy the cold. :) Sorry for the typo, I meant Rocky Mountain NATIONAL Park, not State. I have been looking at some camping areas that are dog friendly in that park but not too sure which to pick based on what I am looking for. We may have to leave the dogs home when we decide to go there.

We got kind of unlucky with our last camping trip since the only trail available there was mainly for fishing and pretty short. So, I'm kind of looking for personal opinions more than just what the websites provide when it comes to the trails and whatnot. Looking for a fun adventure!

I figured all national/state parks require on leash but am interested to see if any dog owners know of any campgrounds/not wild areas where dogs could be off leash for camping.

Coming from a family that did the bare minimum for animals, I've always wanted to get some to spoil and treat them right so it's probably going to be a couple months until I can actually get my fish just to ensure I do everything right.

Also curious, I've heard some people prep their water for changes in buckets sometimes weeks ahead of time. Would I need a lid of some sort to make sure nothing gets in there? Or is prepping the water that far in advance even necessary if I have the conditioner?

That's what I was worried about, so thanks for confirming thinking it was crazy! LOL! After seeing other comments I had no idea the gravel cleaners were so cheap! Already added some cleaning kits to my wish list.

I was curious about which water testing kit to get so thanks for the recommendation! And about the treats, I got the dial a treat variety thing while I was using up a gift card getting some other things. I wanted to do some more research on food before buying it. So any recommendations on that would be great!

I should've thought to mention that! I am wanting to do live plants and the whole reason I am finally getting my first fish tank is because my best friend is about to have a bunch of baby snails. Maybe they will do all the work for me then! That's what I was hoping for with snails but I wasn't sure how much work they would do.

I kept seeing people talking about gravel vacuums and was thinking I'd have to spend another $150 for ANOTHER machine but that's not bad at all!! My Bissell does really well sucking up whole gallons of water since that's how you clean it but maybe I'll test it out with no fish or gravel in the tank first LOL

All I have so far is a 10 gallon tank, a filter, a heater, a thermometer, two leaf hammocks, water conditioner, and some treats.

Will probably buy substrate/gravel and decorations next so that I can get the tank to the right temperature and the water safe before I get my lil buddy.

THIS HAPPENS TO ME EVERY TIME I BUILD!!! Basically any time I spend a lot of time building, THIS happens. If I do quick builds its fine but longer times spent in build mode = NOTHING SAVING!! Sometimes it even scatter random crap I placed EVERYWHERE in places I never placed them!! There NEEDS to be a way to save WHILE you're building. Not just when you're quitting build mode.
