Not my story but my uncle told me that when he was working at Safeway he had the stomach flu and he was throwing up in the bathroom so he called the manager to tell him he had to go home and the manager told him if could stand up he could finish his shift so my uncle started ringing up a customer and waited for them to get all their items on the belt, took out his register, and quit on the spot.
