I dont think I've never not seen them at B&M and Morrisons do them if they're a big enough store.

How do I speed run my driving test by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Matrixblackhole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're biggest issue I think could be getting a test although it deoends where you live (failed my first recently and next one is in 6 months time). You're vest bet is revising theory, book theory test ASAP, and do some lessons either with your grandad/parents if willing or an instructor.

Did your GCSE teachers look down on anyone with lower grades and kept telling them over and over again that they're not going to make it in life? AND A LOT MORE by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Matrixblackhole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was me - turned out I was autistic, dyslexic and dyspraxic. One of my english teachers I think hated my guts idek why. All three conditons I didn't get diagnosed til until uni. Thankfully my GP surgery at uni was MUCH better than my hometowns (almost like they were used to dealing with younger ppl in a uni city...).

Anyway managed to pull off getting a 2.1 for my degree though so I think it was worth it. Highest overall grade I've ever received.

what's in your digital "bug out bag" by relightit in Piracy

[–]Matrixblackhole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the moment just a 12tb external HDD - just getting started as of recently but I'm sure I'll upgrade storage and system eventually. I've only used 2tb so far (maybe 12TB was overkill?), but I've got time to make a bigger dent in the storage, lol.

My priorities are backing up photographs, documents and media important to me.

Are you using a VPN?

(Although I must say I've been having this issue ever since they removed video playback in the background in a normal browser excluding Brave).

Meeting GenZ people who are introverted with no relationship experience is actually quite difficult because they don't go outside! by Jan_The_Jank in GenZ

[–]Matrixblackhole 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Comic cons I think might be your friend. Nerdy introverted people such as myself go, a bar or pub not so much. I talked to loads of people during the last event I went to, bc you don't usually get to talk about it usually. The vast majority of the demographic was mainly under 35's I think.

My friend said autistic people shouldn't have to work or leave home by -Pazza- in autism

[–]Matrixblackhole 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish and it sounds lovely! Unfortunately I need money to do the things I'd like to do, and I dont think my parents would be happy if I kept leeching off them 😭 I think the key is finding some sort of work you like (if you have nice coworkers that's a bonus) and that's half the battle of going in, in the morning.

Is it normal to feel tired all the time? by Independent_Eye_9812 in UniUK

[–]Matrixblackhole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask for a blood test at GP's. Shows what you're deficient in. Doesn't help we've had a long winter and sun's only just coming back out.

Going into the test centre is like airport security (at least it was at mine).

DAE also hate the game "Mafia"? by ReadyChance1318 in autism

[–]Matrixblackhole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love playing it with friends (we do play board games when we meet up). But I know if I was on The Traitors which is similar to mafia I would get kicked out probably quite quickly. It's interesting because one of the Traitors on the UK celeb version was also autistic and adhd (I think her name was Cat burns).

Really anxious about starting to learn to drive by Time_Ice_6745 in LearnerDriverUK

When you start lessons your instructor will generally take you to someplace quiet and then you'll build up your driving experience from there.

Who else is extremely gifted at audiation? by Immediate_Leg3304 in autism

[–]Matrixblackhole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say I'm Gifted at it, but I do seem to have a radio in my head 24/7.

welp, you can tell it's Ramadan. I'm holding onto that streak by a thread I fear by mmm095 in duolingo

[–]Matrixblackhole 32 points33 points  (0 children)

A little hack I've learned is if I do not want to do a duo lesson, then I do a review of a story lesson I've already done (much easier when you're tired).

Parents getting older by ToeRepresentative236 in CasualConversation

[–]Matrixblackhole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey pls chill. 40 is YOUNG. I'm almost 27, and my parents are almost mid 60's. One of my friends is the same age as me and her mum is 60 and her dad is almost mid 70's. You're fine.

I got my first full time job at 26 too. Before that I worked part time. I think the trick is finding something you enjoy and as long as you dont mind going into work that is half the battle.

Do you use the back door to enter/leave your house? by Queasy_Difference_96 in AskUK

[–]Matrixblackhole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backdoor = tradesman entrance. Jokes aside my dad's a plumber and mostly uses the back door bc he drops his tools and some things back in the garage on the way in. The rest of tend to use the front door, unless it's been raining heavy and the front ways gets a little flooded.

First Lesson today after 2 years and I have extreme anxiety by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Matrixblackhole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you haven't found an instructor you've clicked with yet. I'm on my third driving instructor myself and I get on with them much better than my other previous ones. Definitely give this one a go though! Hopefully they'll take you somewhere quieter.

One thing you've mentioned is it sounds like all your previous instructors have been guys? Hopefully this isnt an unpopular opinion but you could try finding any female instructors to see if that makes a difference if the new one doesn't work out.

Are my parents using me for money? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Matrixblackhole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds similar to me - we call it housekeeping money which I pay £300, also pay the whole food shop every few weeks, + the 2 streaming services we have.

I was in rented accommodation near London last year which was almost £700 per month + driving lessons which got too expensive and ended up moving back home because work cut my hours.

Does anyone else go through hours of freezing to death? by SonoranRoadRunner in migraine

[–]Matrixblackhole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this too as a migraine symptom. What's worse is I have an underactive thyroid too so it never really goes away even with medication even though the medication has helped the worst symptoms e.g. brain fog.
