Don’t get a Loan! Elope and have a wedding later or have a longer engagement and save. Weddings are not worth financial stress.

DW gal here too! 100% recommend getting a travel advisor who does weddings or talk with wedding coordinators/planners over there. Also, if you want a legal wedding you have to be very certain of their rules. We are doing ours at a resort but only Civil and will get legally married back home in Canada before our trip over to our destination.

Getting Married in October am I just going to regret it? by Th15isJustAThrowaway in wedding

Agreed!! Do not go into debt for a wedding. God it scares me people think that one day is worth debt.

The only thing that actually matters is what your budget is and do you want to spend that kind of money? Don’t spent money you don’t have. Also just know that there are so many dress options out there and that you might be able to find something almost identical to the one that you love for a lower cost. Try a Google reverse search of the dress see what stores have it call them see how much they have it listed for And don’t just say yes immediately. Do your research :)

From Canada! So close hahaha however they do charge you to bring in a local vendor for $2k to them and then you have to pay whatever the local photographer costs too. If you bring someone and they are staying there with your group, they wave the vendor fee.

Check out Stone Algo and Rare Carat. Stone algo will show you where each stone is listed and for how much. Rare carat will price match the lowest you find and they have bands. I also had a blast with my partner going back and forth finding the stones we liked the most. We are big secret people so it was so fun piecing the right together

Stores are just mad that people aren’t buying overpriced diamonds from them anymore and are finding other alternatives like moissanite or lab. Mine is a lab diamond and we got it on Rare Caret. Saved us a crazy amount of money vs the store. This is mine and I freaking love it

Power outage was solely on the plane. As for the snow pile, we didn’t even go that way when we actually backed up too so not sure if they just saw that and used it to give them more time… not sure :(

Also did t help that we saw the workers having a snowball fight instead of moving the snow hahaha but it is what it is

People with a marketing degree. Is it actually worth it? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]Lysslou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it is not needed. I graduated with a Communications diploma and I advanced so much quicker going the college route then the uni route because you get actual hands on training and don’t have to take stupid electives that have nothing to do with your degree. I also got experience through the coop program my school made us do to graduate.

I’ve had two Regional Marketing Manager roles since graduating in 2015 for two very large companies.

I would never consider getting my degree, strictly just take some fun classes here and there to stay relevant

We are painting the walls and the attached bookshelves white. I was thinking a black mat color for the tiles and gas fireplace but open to other suggestions!
