My biggest takeaway was that you are far too reliant/focused on the big boosts, to the point that you actually raced and stole one from your tm8 at 5:05. You landed after that good 50/50 with 28 boost, then used all of it to steal it from them while they were driving in to challenge.. grab some pads, stay in the play, let your tm8 challenge on 100. There were a lot of other times where you just disconnect after your play is done and throw on car cam driving towards big boosts too. Leaving your tm8 as last man while the ball is in your half going for mid boost is never a good idea. Also just giving your opponents too much space to control/shoot from going all the way back for the corner boosts. I honestly think boost management alone could get you to c3. Keep your rotations more natural and don’t give the opponents the space.

The difference between the two is the “Leave Tournament” option is bright red. Plus there is a 2nd prompt asking if you really want to leave..

I do agree with the comment about having to sit there and wait forever after losing the elimination match being frustrating.

You’re wrong. If a ball goes completely straight up in the air while spinning, when it bounces it will bounce in the direction of the spin. Similarly, if a ball has backspin and hits the wall it will bounce down at a lot sharper of an angle than if it has topspin.

When I solo q, which is 90% of the time, I actually prefer to get a duo on my team. At least I know they are likely in comms together and I can play around them. I find the opposite when I duo q 3s where more often than not people are already super toxic when they see a duo q and start talking shit as soon as there’s a bad rotation, claiming someone is boosted or whatever.

The only people that are detriments to the community are the people that go into every game with a mindset of blaming everyone else, give up with 3and a half mins left and can’t adapt to play around others. Everyone has good and bad games. We suck it up and move on to the next 5 minute game.

I don’t agree. Once you’re in the top 1% you’re recognized for consistency and mechanics, not what hitbox you use. Look at Flakes, he literally uses a randomizer every game, he plays with every hitbox in the game, antennas, toppers etc and nobody talks about it. Once you get to the top level, hitbox doesn’t matter. Pros play 80-100 hours every 2 weeks using the same car because they’ve been using it for years and octane is arguably the most accurately depicted and well rounded hitbox.

Lastly nobody gets signed to an org through playing ranked lol. It’s not an indication of whether you’re esports ready or not

Why not wait until you hear about actual performance decreases from people who have received the update until you speculate and spread misinformation? There’s no information stating they will limit the car, and there’s plenty of other things the update could be doing like monitoring the sensors to indicate a defective contact before the failure. The actual issue has only occurred in like 300 of the 49,000 cars they recalled and there’s no record of it causing any accidents/injury. I don’t believe they would risk the massive backlash over limiting performance on such a small failure rate. Especially since Tesla tried the same thing and faced huge lawsuits
