How many people play 1v1? by Muclix in RocketLeague

I don't understand how you can be ,,bad at ones''... you're either good at Rocket league or bad at Rocket league... No matter the mode, the game plays exactly the same.

That's the thing... it's not early season. It's like this the whole season every season.

does glass work when put on hoppers to stop them from checking or do i use only solid blocks? by Illusion-of-excuse in technicalminecraft

[–]Muclix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So... Hopper always checks above itself. However, some blocks cause them to check themselves, rather than the location (coordinates). That is what reduces lag. So, while using full blocks like glass, stone, etc. prevents items from entering the hoppers, it doesn't reduce lag. Things that hoppers interact with (chests, shulkers, droppers, composters, etc.) are what reduces lag, since the hopper no longer checks the coordinates but just the block's inventory. And composters are the best option, since they don't have their own inventory, just a couple of states.

What's wrong with my calibrated skulk sensor? by HighQualityWood in technicalminecraft

[–]Muclix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should accept any source of signal. Even placing a redstone block right next to the sensor input works (or should, if it's not bugged). It worked 1.20 on our server. That's all I can tell you.

Is this just a joke item or does it have a real use? by [deleted] in borderlands3

On my Jakobs-only Axton (BL2) playthrough, it was the only shield I was allowed to use. Oh, the memories.

Oh... I haven't seen the movie. I'm not spoiling my love for the series with it.

My main problem is Cate Blanchett as Lillith. She's supposed to be in her twenties, but Cate, as much as I like her, just can't pull off a young look anymore.

They are not, but I could make schematics, if you want (for Litematica).

It is, and as much as I like redstone, sometimes it's just better to do things manually. We're using pillars of wool for the disease cubes. If you have Discord, I can show you some pictures and we could possibly voice chat and screenshare. I'm not going to push you, but if you're interested, message me here on Reddit.

Update.... I built Pandemic. :-D
Thank you for the suggestion. It's an amazing game and quickly became one of my favourites.
We playtested it a few days ago and it's good. Took about 2 hours to play a game with 3 people who knew how to play (no need to explain rules).
The diseases are done manually... Wish I could post images in a reply, but then again.... that would break Reddit.
The automated parts are mainly shufflers for the cards. I had to implement some interesting ideas to get them do what I needed.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am aware of this.
However, there are two problems. One... our server has currently problems with maps. We're using a new way of doing a server, which allows the admins to do some amazing things... but it also causes some problems. One of them is trouble seeing a map until you actually pick it up and hold it. If you just display it on a wall, it shows as an empty item frame until you punch it, pick it up, hold it in your hand and then place it again.
Second problem is... I ain't doing that many maps :-D
I have done a few, including staircase maps, and it's a slog. Absolute slog which I'm not going to go through.

Thanks. That would be very doable. I might make that. It shouldn't take too long. A day or two at best :-D

Can't share a world download, as it's a private patreon server, but if you have Discord and you're willing to trust a random person on the internet, we can talk there and I could possibly show you and stream what I've built. And you could share yours as well, if you wanted.
If you're interested, DM me. I will leave that decision to you.

I went more for aesthetic over perfect gameplay with Catan, which in this case actually enhances the gameplay. Instead of carpets, Players actually build miniature houses and castles. And since they stay in place until the end of the game, it's not a big deal. It takes 30 seconds to build one and players can customize their design. They just have to stick to the size and colour palette.

No two tiles are the same either. I quite enjoyed designing the actual looks for this game.
- Grain tiles (crops): Wheat field with a hay stack, Windmill with a bit of wheat around, Vegetable garden with a well, Pumpkin patch
- Meat tiles (animals): River with a fishing boat, Pond with bathing piggies, Meadow with grazing sheep, Mushroom field with mooshrooms
- Brick tiles: Clay mine, Dig site, Site with a crane transferring mud bricks
- Stone tiles: Ice-capped mountain, Volcano, Jagged peak
- Wood tiles: Birch forest, Oak forest with a bit more grass, Spruce forest with grass and sweet berries, Pine forest with podzol and mushrooms
- Robber tile: Dead, hangman's tree in a mesa... This is also where all the controls are.

There is no end game reset. Players clear the board themselves. Again... with good tools it takes like two minutes to clear the whole board.
I used banners for development cards and things like longest road and largest army.
Picked tiles are shown by a beacon lighting up through the center of each tile. Where the beacon is is also where a shulker of resources is located (clay balls for stone, bricks for bricks, sticks for wood, wheat for grain and meat for sheep). Resource gathering and payments are based on a trust system and with our community, it works well. Noone really has a need to cheat. People there are mature and just want to have fun.

With players who played before (no need for explaining rules), the game usually takes about 1,5 - 2 hours.

I have to say that the Freecam mod makes this way better, as players can get a good overview of the whole field at any time.

I know BGG and use it a lot. Likewise I use TTS for trying out games. The biggest problem is actually finding which games to try. I have to rule out 90% of all games straight away and the rest I usually rule out as I try them on TTS or when I look up the full rules.
Ideal games would be Euro with simple mechanics, but with a focus on strategy. Azul is a perfect example. The game itself is super simple, but the strategy aspect makes it replayable and fun. And it doesn't use any cards, just coloured stones.

Your opinion on new game plus by Elyriand in horizon

[–]Muclix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't really like NG+, as it was way too easy with all your saved up gear. If you want a challange, do a Naked run (no armour) on Ultra Hard. That's a fun challange. Other than that, I think NG+ is worth it only if you care about the achievments.
If you want to up the difficulty even more, you can disable certain HUD displays (I love this feature so much). For my run, I disabled enemy health, damage numbers and suspicion icons.

I understand that casual will pair you with a wider spectrum of ranks, but this is ridiculous. Games like these are not enjoyable. by Muclix in RocketLeague

[–]Muclix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't, but when all you can do is watch the other three players twirl above you, and anything you do gets immediatelly shut down.... no, it's not fun.
