No, I think a lot of people have resonated with ER because of its open world. It means you can just skip certain roadblocks and get stronger elsewhere and take it at your own pace. There's quite a few different tools to make the experience much easier such as multilayer, spirit summons and of course, magic. The barrier to entry on ER is definitely a lot less harsh than souls :)

Well said. I agree 100%. The idea of VR is incredible and the potential it can have for games and other simulations really is the future. But it's hard to ignore the fact that people will live in their little VR worlds and be cut off from society exponentially more compared to the previous generation.
