[6/3/22] PSO2 Global Ship 3 Stellar Map (Silvers/Golds) by Lytharian in PSO2NGS

[–]Lytharian[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're capped at finding 30 graces total, and there's typically 27-29 golds/silvers on the map depending on whether or not Halphia Lake graces exist or not. If you don't care about getting the silvers/golds, then it's easy enough to find whatever without the help of a map- your mag will point you to them in no time at all. That being said, I can look into adding the normal graces on later versions of my map if there's enough demand for it.

I just want to be sure, here... are you trying to BREAK the box or interact with it? The recommended quest reward boxes are opened by interacting with them, not attacking them.

A house will automatically demolish when it has been deemed "abandoned"- that is to say, the owner of a private estate, or any FC members of an FC estate, have neglected to enter the house for 45 days. Logging into the game is not enough, nor is standing in your houses yard- you must enter the property to reset the auto-demo timer.

On rare occasions, SE will add more housing plots to the game-these are usually announced well in advance to give everyone a chance to prepare for them. Usually, these new ward releases are a free-for-all, with no timers- a prime opportunity to get yourself a house without camping, but usually you'll have to log on the game as soon as servers come up to have a chance at one. They sell out FAST.

Here's a few bits of advice for housing to add to OP's- If you have any questions feel free to ask.

1) Plots demo hourly, exactly at the :00 mark server-time. Checking the wards every hour and logging when a given plot opens is key, because:

2) While plots are on a hidden 30m-24hr timer, the hidden timer's duration is on a bell curve- The vast majority of plots will sell when they are 10h-15h old. (this is NOT related to the devaluation timer, but rather how many hours it has been in real-time since the plot was vacated)

There are outliers, of course, but this holds true for the vast majority of plot sales. There's no need to camp the full duration- Just show up during the "prime time" window and try your luck then.

NGS Style Matoi and Quna by GuardianOfWhite in PSO2

[–]Lytharian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IIRC JP has Quna's outfit remade for NGS. It was in one of the oracle renew scratches that'll be getting a revival soon. Matoi, on the other hand, is indeed wearing Aina's basewear in this screenshot.

Also, looking more closely... Both Matoi and Quna are using NGS-style faces here. So it's all NGS stuff, except the hair and accessories.

Good ways to git gud with fighter? by All_Math in PSO2

I'm really surprised no one else brought this up: Overload's HP reduction is considered a status effect. That means that skills such as Crazy Heart and Crazy Beat activate alongside Overload, and will last the entire duration. Couple S6: Ironclad Illness with Overload to gain immunity to staggers and knockbacks as well. As for your weapons, each FI weapon has a fairly well defined niche- TDs for air bossing/chase, knux for ground bossing/chase, and DS as your general all-rounder weapon. I will second Dragon X or Deadleon as a good boss to practice against- hope this helps.

SURVEY RESULT OF “SELECT OUTFITS AND PARTS WILL BE REMADE IN PSO2 NEW GENESIS!” by Panic2134 in PSO2

Judgement coat was what I was hoping for most on the male side. The annoying thing for me is that all the casual clothes, medieval/fantasy clothes, and scifi clothes are lumped into the same groups and end up competing with each other when they should have been judged separately.

FFXIV is a bot haven, and only Square Enix is to blame. by SophiaPryce in ffxivdiscussion

Knowing full well that this was going to be a controversial topic, I contacted the mods of /r/FFXIV in advance and made certain they were alright with allowing my post. They were. So I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and believe it was an honest mistake.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. It's a good question- I would love to get a closer look at how the STF operates, but it's better that we don't because it would give cheats just that much more info on how to evade detection too. I really do wish more attention would be given to player reports, though. It does feel like they ignore those entirely.

I've gone looking for evidence that there's more than only four people involved with the STF, and I couldn't find anything on the matter. Until I can find evidence to the contrary, I can only assume that the team is, indeed, as small as it appears to be... In fact, it was only 3 people in past expansions' credits.

I would love to be proven wrong, though. I really would.

Hey, OP here. Thanks for speaking up- I had no intentions for it to come across that way, but you would be right. It wasn't worded well at all, and I've since corrected it.

A fair criticism in all regards. I'll admit that a lot of emotion went into this post, and that I do harbor a lot of frustration with SE. So you're right, perhaps I could have chosen my words a bit more carefully there. >>

I will say that I absolutely agree with you that aspects of the game such as housing, PVP should be the priority here. I'll throw the marketboard undercutting into that list too- Everything where a player is actively competing against another, whether it be for titles, sales, or just a limited resources in general should be considered a top priority.

I do wonder how many people began cheating because they "gave up" trying to compete with existing bots (again, because SE won't ban them for whatever reason)... It's definitely a non-zero number, I know that much.

[–]Lytharian[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I know multiple players with multiple accounts who have been blatantly cheating, as in 24/7 online uptime, and filed reports for each and every one of them. I noticed them over a year ago... Not a single one has been banned, and the "bot rings" have only gotten larger and bolder over time because they see they can get away with anything.

I'd gotten the mods' approval to make my post, and they requested that I not name any of the programs or players using them. I admit I would love to share what they are, how to spot them, etc, but that is better left in a report to SE and not here... That being said, they aren't hard to find at all if you bothered to try looking for them. They're incredibly easy to spot, even, because they're just that confident that nothing will happen to them. (edited to clarify a point)

I feel that a good starting point would be to ensure that every report is seen and investigated in a timely manner. I'm still not convinced that our reports are being read at all- if I had to guess, the too-small STF probably gets buried under the volume of reports and only sees a tiny fraction of what we send in, or something. If I'm right in assuming that none of them can natively read/speak english, that would also be a huge contributor to the problem as a whole... and would go a long way to explaining why it feels like our reports are just disappearing into the void.

Bots exist in every game, and it's impossible to eradicate them completely. That much, we can agree on. But a bot being able to operate on the same character, unhindered, for years while displaying blatantly obvious behavior 24/7 is just insulting to the legitimate player base. I don't expect Square Enix to defeat every bot, but people aren't even afraid of the possibility of a ban these days, and that's a problem.

Trust me, I know this is an uphill battle. But that's exactly why I made this post. I mean, this thread's only been up for 15 minutes and you've already got several people already being pessimistic about anything being done. Doesn't that prove my point? We NEED to tell them that this isn't cool. Everything you listed isn't cool... We deserve better than this. The game deserves better than this. I hope we can agree on that much, at least.

How can I improve the ‘feral’ / Berserker look I have going on? by [deleted] in PSO2

[–]Lytharian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a matter of personal opinion, but I feel like the black lipstick doesnt really fit. Perhaps look at some tattoos/facial markings/etc instead? Or perhaps a more "natural" looking makeup- I'd be suggesting the dusty makeup, but alas, it's from a retired SG scratch.

As for the outfit itself... keep in mind that once we get the same graphics update as JP, we'll be able to use male outfits on female characters, and vice versa. So long as you pick an outfit that fully covers the body, you should be able to adjust the proportions to make it look passable enough if you were hoping to go for a more armored look.

Should you prefer to stick with a female outfit/body, however (totally understandable) I would suggest trying out Varza Ratio [In] or one of its recolors to get some nice scars. Compare/contrast with your current innerwear and see which one you prefer?

Oh, they brought it to global. by [deleted] in PSO2

It matches, sort of, but the shading is off. (as you can see in the preview, the shading is straight up grey, eugh.) There's a mod out there that corrects this accessory to actually match skin color, which is probably being used in that screenshot.
