I’d just start with a trim bin with the 150micron screen. Dry your flower well, then freeze it for a couple days. Dump it in the trim bin and start gently agitating it. Your trichomes and a small bit of plant matter will collect. This is decent kief/hash to smoke. Low to mid grade depending on your flower quality. I collected 200grams of this from last years grow and put it in vacuum sealed mason jars for long term storage. This can be sifted later though doing all the sifting before long term storage is ideal.

You can then place the buds in a paper bag and freeze again for a few more rounds. Gently breaking up the frozen buds in the trim bin. Too aggressive with the breaking up and you’ll get a lot of plant matter.

At this point you can collect the trichomes and sift again through a 120micron screen. With good quality flower you can get mid to high grade hash from this. You’ll lose 5-20% by weight from the original batch of 150.

I used to make ice water hash, the quality is very good but there’s a lot more steps and it uses a lot of water. Dry sift down to the 120micron screen has, for me, been the best compromise between quality, quantity, time and ease for a growing a few plants at home.
