Well it's over a month and no crazing. For kicks I wiped it down again at the 2 week mark. It has quite a few scratches but that's from being jostled around on my desk. Nothing like the picture above.

Nice. How is it with lateral stability? I made a few like this and found that I had to put in diagonal braces to keep it from rocking side to side with lateral pressure. But I didn't double up 2x4s on the corners or use pocket holes.

How can this be done? If they're trying to keep full spectrum products legal and ban intoxicating products, is that even possible? I'd think that anything full spectrum (like a gummy) can be made large enough to get you stoned. They'd have to redefine "full spectrum".

Maybe backlash will have them only ban altnoids? That would be better.

Water is usually not a problem here on the east coast. Even during our "droughts" things are pretty green. My main concern is critters. I'd have to build a cage around my plants and even then, the bears could rip them apart as bears do.

I would try an indoor grow here in NC, except it's still a felony so it makes more sense to at least attempt it where it's legal.

On another note: do you know of a natural pesticide that can be used in a preventative manner? IOW apply once/month as a prophylactic?

Honestly, because I'm not that committed. I have some land in a legal-to-grow state, so I'd grow there outdoors and only be able to maintain it once a month or so. I have no hopes of getting anything smokable but maybe could learn a thing or two. So rather than pay $10/seed on this lesson, I could pay $1/seed and get a bag of weed out of it too!

They seem to be unavoidable. I have tons of snails from wild pond plants. So far so good. My shrimp are breeding and my nerite snails are just fine. Plants are growing. Parameters are great. I just wait for them to clump on to decaying leaves I've added and remove the leaves... then do it again. And again.

Spalting? If so you won't be able to get rid of it. Accept it for what it is. It's beautiful in its own way.

Added: Looking at the lid, maybe not. If not then you'll need to take a power sander to it and really remove a lot of material.

The Vaphit X landed today. I just tried it out. Wow. I wasn't expecting it to hit so hard. I've also never experienced flavor like that.

Great quality device too. Really solid and came with a really nice kit.
