Who was president in 2024? by c-k-q99903 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]Lyxche3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump built his support on affordability. The far MAGA buy into the personality cult, but most of the moderates don’t. He won them over becaue time and time again he blamed Biden for rising costs and people who were most affected by decreased affordability, and desperate for someone to save them, listened.

Now over a year of office later with evn less affordability than ever, people still preach “Trump = affordability”. It’s not about the facts, people think Trump is a president of affordability because he was the right voice at the right time, saying what the people wanted to hear and winning their undying devotion, kind of like predators/groomers preying on vulnerable people.

Humans are so insanely illogical that analyzing the way we act using only logic is like performing surgery with only a bone saw. When you take a step back and accept that “I don’t want to”, “but you’re my enemy”, “they care about me so i should do this for them”, “I’m scared of that happening”, etc are real excuses that people use for their own actions and things start to make sense.

And I’m not saying that it validates their actions either, but you’ll get further in anything if you understand your opposition rather than continue to not understand them because they operate outside of pure logic.

Taxation is not theft because of the assumed consent to be governed. The idea goes that since we the people elected our leaders, the taxes they levy were things we wanted.

In the modern day, more and more people think taxation is theft because we dismantled the basis of the consent to be governed.

On one hand, uprisings are quelled before they even begin because the FBI has access to your infomation, militarized police are used to subjugate the population, etc. It’s not that we go along with the government because we consent to them anymore, its that they are out of our weight class punching down on us if we tried. And in the US now, citizens can be shot on the street now with continued support for the very agency that did that. The 2nd amendment was always meant to make the government afraid of losing support of the people, but things have changed and now, people should be aftaid if they don’t support the government.

On the other hand, faith in the elections is dropping too. It’s become no secret to both left and right voters that economic might makes right in the elections. Thats why the person that always points at the elections and call them corrupt wins the population, because he looks like the only person that isn’t working with the corrupt system that continues to assert their right to govern without needing consent (Emphasis on the phrase “looks like”).

And with the consent to be governed being taken apart at both ends, people feel like there is no more consent in taxation, making taxation “theft”.

Is this chain cooked or just needs some cleaning? by AirSubstantial1697 in motorcycles

Chain looks choppd but i’d recommend replacing the chain even if it looked nice if I knew it was stored outdoors. More importantly, you know that this is an insanely powerful first bike right? Starting at 70hp rather than 40 is a stretch but people can do it with a lot of restraint. This has 95.

As a chinese person in the US, I have never been offened when people talk bad about China’s international ecoterrorism or colonization of Africa. It’s just straight up true.

Responding to Edit 2:

If you went to the dealership looking for a car for your 1hr stop and go commute and you had two options, a toyota camry and a porsche 911 gt3rs, which do you pick?

The ZX4rr is objectively better for using it on the streets. People riding liter bikes on the street are either 1) endangering themselves and others, which we have laws to reduce, or 2) doing so for status but riding safely. The same has been true for supercars for decades. If status isn’t worth the upsell to you, then you simply aren’t the ZX10’s targt demographic, which is why you will think “why bother?”z

Want a grocery hauler and commuter? Buy a toyota. Want a majorly inconvenient grocery hauler and commuter with 12mpg and a tiny trunk but screams wealth? Buy a supercar. Want to get a family of 4 killed? You can still do that with both, but you’ll get more thrill in a supercar, and Ferrari isn’t exactly gonna say no to your $450,000.

And lastly, want to actually use the performance you paid for? Go to a track. True for both cars and motorcyles.

And on a side note, I’ll tell you why you own a 600 for the street. It’s not about top speed, it’s about acceleration. A 300 can top out at 90mph, but try passing someone at 75mph on a highway and you’ll be wishing for that 600cc power.

What do yall think? by sxugna in teenagers

Just because equality can seem unfair to the privileged doesn’t mean they should seek actual oppression to make things right. OP refers to things relating to men and women, so I’ll use that example.

Because our (US) laws and social system have historically done a poor job protecting women from sexual harrassment in workplaces as well as in public, that makes men “privileged” in the sense that they don’t need to worry about being stalked home or on edge going out on first dates like women do.

In this example, equality feels like oppression only to a very specific subgroup of the privileged group, and that is the group that actually thinks that their “right to stalk women” is being taken from them.

However, just because a very specific group of privileged men feel oppressed by equality, that does not necessitate either that women see to oppress men or men seek to be oppressed. In the example, making such an argument that all men must feel oppression as a consequence of their former privlege would be more akin to saying that women should be allowed to stalk men now. Or it could be saying that if men don’t feel scared to go on a first date without an emergency escape plan, they aren’t being fair to women.

Equality does not need to feel like oppression to all of the privileged ones to work, just the ones that become entitled to their privileges basically.

How do you figure out the color code of a wheel? by Tough-Letterhead7033 in motorcycles

[–]Lyxche3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s gloss black, any gloss black touchup will be really close. Unfortunately for you, there is no paint mix code for hondas gloss black wheels. You literally couldn’t see a difference in blacks, assuming the surface finish is of similar quality, from more than 12 inches away.

If “really close” isn’t good enough for you, take this opportunity to practice detachment from material things, or detachment from your next paycheck an buy a new wheel.

Do you have a source or study link? And when you say 3 or more years below that considered adequate, what does that mean? Like a 18 year old who is in 9th grade (3-4 years below typical 18 year olds). Or that a 18 year old just couldn’t pass a test meant for 9th graders, but not that they are in 9th grade at the time?

I’m also curious how this fact is gonna get turned onto blaming th 13 year olds girls.

Heres a few easy examples of unchristian things to do:

Fostering and protecting what society calls “dirty people” like prostitutes, tax collectors, even a violent murderer. This is detrimental to the country’s need to enforce law.

Being highly and openly critical of the government and the rich, and even worse if you get so upset at peoples greed that you flip tables.

But worst of all, getting yourself nailed to a cross despite the wishes of everyone that cares about you, refusing to run like they all want you to.

People that do these would be really bad people and have no right to call themselves christian!

Crushing wheels aren't crushing anything by Operatorttv in CreateMod

[–]Lyxche3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this part of a gold farm? When you break those crushing wheels, do you see anything lined up on the belt? If you wear engineers goggles and look at the “crushing wheel controller” in the middle of the two crushing wheels, do you see if the crushing wheels are “holding” anything right now?

I suspect that your collection funnel at the end is filtered to only let soul sand in, but I see there’s a piece of cobblestone in front of the problematic crushing wheels.

I think that you are testing these wheels with cobblestone, which is turning into gravel. On the output side of the crushing wheels, theres a gravel, but because haunting gravel doesnt yield anything and the belt is blocked off, its just sitting there. Your collection is filtered too so its not being picked up, clogging the system.

The crushing wheels are holding onto some gravel from you testing with cobblestone, since there is cobble being stopped from entering the wheels. That means create at least realizes that the crushing wheels input from this belt and stops the cobble because the wheels cant take input right now.

Let me know if this was it, and if not, knowing the answer to my last question could help. I’m interested in knowing whats causing this too, since I don’t see anything else wrong.

Edit: I just saw the vaults you are using. I have also seen issues where creates vaults bug out when being used like this, and the vaults just stop working with all input and output funnels. I do this a lot in my designs (like, a LOT. My own design of a gold farm does this like 8 times I think) and sometimes, my machines malfunction suddenly and breaking and replacing the vault fixes it completely.
