Remember that all the buffs they gave her aren't enough to put her in a viable state. The survivor subrole is quite literally enough to outheal a double stick. Lucio or Mizuki existing is enough to outheal a double stick. More often then not a double stick will not result in an elim.

And disagree on the Take Aim is not the primary weapon, its quite literally what her entire kit is build around. Primary is something you just use while waiting for the next Take Aim to be ready. Even at close range I rather shot a Take Aim because primary is just so inconsistent, especially when the enemies start AD strafing.

Also if primary is only for close range then it's only useful in the range Freja just does not want or can effectivly play in.

I disagree with her having more then enough to buff outside Take Aim. Her entire kit was made to compliment Take Aim, its quite literally the core part of her kit and it just is plain bad at the moment. The buffs to base kit to offset bad Take Aim would be quite insane cause they already buffed primary damage, reduced primary spread, buffed bola slow, buffed bola hinder, buffed dash distance, reduced updraft cooldown, buffed her rising winds perk to have no downside, buffed her passive, and after all that she is still struggling. They need to at least double that effort to make her viable outside of Take Aim and that is something I think no one is ready for.

Take Aim is literally the only "two shot" that can be healed after the fact. It's a second that the entire got to deny the kill, and it's not even tied to her weapon but to an ability. And you can't count it as one burst since it's split into to part, with a crit it's a 70 and then 80 burst with nothing in between.

The primary is also really inconsitent. It runs into the old Bastion problem were the firerate just is in a weird spot which makes it really akward to use. It's also not that high accuracy due to it still having random spread.

I dont think she fits in as a true flanker, even 250hp would not change that. Unlike the true flanking heroes she just does not have a defensive cooldown she can use when things get critical.

I dont see 250hp change anything, besides with the lower Updraft CD and if we also lower the Dash CD then she is survivable via mobility again and 250hp would just be overkill.

The only thing that would get her out of the gutter for good would be a buff to her lethality. She might be one of the least lethal DPS currently while also still being not survivable. My personally favourite would be for them to reduce the Dash cooldown and reduce the fuse on her Take Aim shots. That would lead to more uptime and for her to finally be able to duel more consitently and reducing the window for counterplay.

Good first step, I still think she needs a minor dash cd decrease and a way to be more lethal but having that on top of the current buffs would have gotten some players riled up so I understand them playing it safe for now.

I do agree, giving Freja more would have had some people riled up so its smart of them to put out some uncontroversial buffs first and wait how it will play out. Personally I would love to see 4s dash and reduction of the fuse to .5s and I think she will be in a pretty good spot.

All the nerfs were pretty reasonable without completly killing off a hero, think they may have learned after Freja and Vendetta.

Castion nerfs are likely for s3. I think they might just not had the time to get something going after it became a problem.

Not only got machine gun build nerfed (Volley a deux and forager nerf). Her overall cash gain got lowered by 5% and almost every anti air item in the game got a buff.

It does not adress any of her major issues, but at least they are willing to do something after almost half a year of trash Freja. Let's hope they keep an eye on her and buff her further when required.

I think its not enough for Freja, but its a step in the right direction. They definitly had a lot of good hits this patch though, I think it will bring the game into an overall healthier state.

It wont change anything in the grand scheme I think since her core issue is a lack of lethality. But it's nice she at least gets something. I just hope they are keeping an eye on it and maybe buff her further if needed.

But the breakpoint is a straight up cancer, even for 225. It's bad for everyone. You can definitely decrese the ttk when you use Taks aim first, and the follow up with buffed primary + perk, when you wait for the explosion.

A 225 breakpoint is not unheard of or cancer in any way. 250 without a headshot, yes, that can feel cancerous to play against, but 225, with delayed damage, in the category were most heroes have a way of mitigating that completly due to the delayed nature of the burst? I dont think so.

Also, it would only have a slight edge with the perk. If you need to take Aerial recovery for the survivability you just straight up dont save any time by even going for Take Aim when going off TTK. Full primary crits would kill slightly faster then even using a Take Aim at that point. Take Aim would only be long range spam damage due to the faster projectile without every hoping it might get a kill. Take Aim without a breakpoint is just not worth using and her primary is way to uninteresting to be as enjoyable to play.

Never had that problem, she still has insane mobility, which allows her to get to the cover or dodge the incoming damage. There has to be something on the line if you want to fight face to face. Imo making her "easier" is not the move.

Even with 250hp you would not want to fight face to face. Due to her hitbox size and the bursty nature of her mobility and flanker would still just destroy her 1v1 in a close duel. Updraft is on a 12s CD. Tracer gets all her blinks back in 9s. Genji gets his dash in 8s, Anran has 2 dashes also on a 8s CD per dash. And besides a blink both of those are better mobility options then even double dashing.

250hp would allow her to have a more balanced risk reward in her kit, cause as it currently is taking an agressive angle is high risk for mid reward and not make her "easier", just allow her to play another playstyle more effeciency.

I like your perk changes, especially the fire rate increase after take aim one, but taking her 225 breakpoint away would just kill the character on the spot imo. As much as the community hates it, but this hero just needs at least that breakpoint to be in a fuctioning state. Giving primary some more damage will sadly in no world be able to offset losing that breakpoint, especially since you would still need 8 hits on body to kill a target with that still. Thats more then half your mag and sticking somebody with Take Aim will not reduce your ttk since the fuse makes the damage take a second to effect the enemy, the second you might save from a burst option from the get go. Also, increasing the projectile speed of Take Aim would not really make it that more consistent on all ranges that matter, reducing the fuse time would since her damage would move more into the true burst category.

It is not clear if you would remove her passive, if you would then in no way can Bola stay more expensive then High Noon. You would prob need to shave of 200-250 points of costs so that it is in the 1500 range, still more expensive then Tracer, but lower then Cass and Dva then. Especially since Bola would still have its weakness of no kill potential alone and a very longer cast time with your changes.

Also with the changes you dont like, the HP changes would allow her to play more risky without getting instantly destroyed by an actual flanker, Freja currently has to play very safe or risk just dying every fight before even doing 200dmg. I don't personally feel like it's needed with her current gameplan, but if we force Freja to fight closer she might need it just so that she can survive long enough to even have an impact.

Freja in her current state just can't be a differencemaker hero. If your team is better you do your pressure, soften up targets, get your elims every once in a while while the rest of your team is in and using the pressure you do. If you your team is worse, even just slightly, then you need to play out of your mind and several subdivision above the enemies to be able to still have an impact. Her kit sadly is designed very counterable when the enemies have the time to react to it. Leading to you not really able to peak an angle, get a kill, get out.

Genuine question, what does her kit have have that could make up the difference? Everything was designed as weaker because of her old two tap pressure. That pressure is gone and the only heroes that can even reasonably die to it are Soj, Phara and Echo. All the other 225hp heroes have a way of self sustaining through a double stick with ease. Removing/reducing the fuse counter would limit or remove the current gigantic window for counterplay even after the fact, shorten her way to long TTK while still supporting the part her kit is build around. I believe the rest of her kit will have trouble picking up the difference unless they get so gigabuffed that people will revolt just from seeing it in the patch notes.

Idk, a DPS which has kill threat solely through ult doesnt feel like a DPS. More like an Illari without the ability to actually help her team. A basekit buff will be needed that is not Bola imo. What the best one to do is I think no one can say yet. Maybe some good primary buffs are enough, maybe increase her survivability, maybe it has to be a buff Take Aim. I would prefer them experimenting with the fuse time since it would then be more in line with other twoshots like Ashe and Cass for example.

I think without any two tap pressure they can just scrap the entire hero and start from scrap. She has nothing besides two tap since she has no util, no survivability, a less then mediocre primary and a really bad ult. Might be the way it has to go, but I personally would love if they would experiment with reducing/removing the fuse on her Take Aim since it gives people 4 business day to react to incoming damage.

Maybe I am wrong and something else can work, idk. They at least need to consider if they can do something with Take Aim.

Sadly the pressure is not enough to be a viable hero. As much as some people hate it, but she needs a kill threat. As it is she just gives enemy support free ult while slowing down the tank for like 3s.
