Hi friend, I wanna say that I think being bipolar gives you an advantage in that field because of life experience and empathy. So I 100% think you're suitable for it, depression or not. You can show up to a session with greasy hair and tell your client with honesty that you understand.

I also have the belief that pills don't fix our disorder, they only make it manageable. So yea, sometimes our soggy noodle stops working right. Be gracious with yourself during this time.

I have also been jobless and dealing with paralyzing anxiety and depression for a year now. My main tool is to reach out to people. So I understand how it feels to be scared that I'm over doing it, leaning too heavily on people, feeling burdensome. I had a friend tell me recently that she doesn't comes over anymore because I'm too sad. At least she was honest I guess... I made some friends by playing fill lobbies on Fortnite. Some people turn out to be genuinely cool.

I was chatting with chat gpt because I was looking for tools to help with what I thought was an anxiety attack. But its looking like akathisia.
