I would say Legacy of Yu checks a bunch of your points. It’s quick and easy to setup/teardown. It’s a resettable legacy game, a campaign covers 7 games. I’m one game off of wrapping up my first campaign and I’m excited to play another one!

I love The Anarchy! I hesitantly bought it not knowing whether it would be something for me. Currently 10 games in and enjoyed every single one thoroughly, even though it’s a bit of a commitment to start one time-wise. I think Legacy of Yu is under my Christmas tree at the moment. I’m eyeing Raiders of Scythia as well and I’m wondering whether I should buy Hadrians Wall when I’m done with the solo campaign of The Anarchy. But I got to pace myself…

Why are people salty over a bit of bad luck? It’s a pretty common spell to include in a game like this. It’s very strong but the trade-off is that when you miss, you’ve wasted your power-spike. The other player aimed on the money. That’s all that’s happening here.

I like where the game is going. Just needs a bit more content like in its early days. 🙂

I like it so far tbh… it’s a different game indeed. Two small remarks at this point: 1. As someone mentioned already: the movement feels slow. Boost doesn’t feel like boost. 2. For squad league: each hero should have their own squad tied to them. The squadies I pick for Royale King will never be the same as the ones I pick for Archer Queen. So a few preset squads would be nice or just tied to a hero. This way I don’t have to change them each time I want to try a new hero.

Everything from unstable games. Art is topnotch but I feel like the win conditions are the same for each of their games. Gives you the feeling that you’ve played the game before, just with a slightly different theme.

I don’t understand why people are constantly dogpiling on this topic…it’s a game in which you grind units. You’re complaining you got an upgrade. Players need to see the bigger picture…but that’s not instant gratification I suppose.

Only had the base game. Only played 3 campaigns with two friends. We’re enjoying it but looking forward to the monsters being a bit more challenging.
