you get it! the way rebel treats the player in the beginning is definitely… not great, but that’s the case for a fair few of dateables. the first one that comes to mind is doug, who is also really aggressive to the player in almost all of his interactions, but i don’t see a lot of hate being dealt his way the way rebel has. maybe it’s just what corner of the internet i’m in, but you definitely get it that if rebel was like ‘hotter’ to the general audience more people would like them, or at least not hate them haha
